The game’s 10th Kongivesary is almost here, and Sardinex has plenty of fun surprises planned to celebrate this milestone with all the Heroes who made it possible. There is also a major change coming to the game that we are previewing here today.
Until now, Bit Heroes has only allowed one hero per account. NFT Heroes introduced the ability for one account to have multiple heroes, but the limited availability of these heroes has meant only a portion of our playerbase has been able to enjoy the convenience. Originally, this was one of the perks to owning one of these special Heroes, but over time, it has made less-and-less sense to restrict this functionality.
Bit Heroes is a long game with an even longer history. It is common for returning players to want to reset their progress to face an easier challenge, for long-time players to want to create a new hero to re-experience the early game, and even for new players to want an early reset after learning ropes. By providing multi-hero accounts to everyone, these all become options that don’t require deleting existing hero data to accomplish. Also, these new heroes will start with full access to your playerbound items giving them a head start on their new adventure.
New hero slots will be purchased with gems. When the feature is released, you will be able to buy up four two additional hero slots. The first slot will unlock when you finish Zone 3 and it will cost 5000 Gems. After that, there will be new slots available after finishing Zone 7, Zone 14, and Zone 20. These slots will cost 7500, 10,000, and 12,500 Gems respectively and each requires that all previous slots have also been purchased. [EDIT 9/7] The first slot will unlock when you finish Zone 9 and will cost 10,000 gems. The second slot will unlock when you finished Zone 19 and will cost 15,000 gems. Once you have purchased a new hero slot, you’ll be able to access and manage your heroes from the same menu that NFT heroes use currently.
For those of you who already own an NFT hero, the benefit you’ll retain is that you can have as many additional heroes as you own NFTs. You won’t need to purchase hero slots as you add NFT heroes to your account. However, you will still be able to purchase additional slots for more basic heroes. Additionally, NFTs will remain the only valid way to buy, sell, and trade heroes that complies with our Terms of Service.
