Hello, Human God.

We've identified a few issues with Juza's Invincibility and Fighting Spirit effects that are causing them to behave differently from their intended design.

The main issue comes from how Invincibility interacts with Juza's attacks outside of her turn, which can cause Invincibility to last longer than intended and affect how Fighting Spirit stacks are gained.

Juza's Invincibility

- Intended Behavior

Juza's Invincibility was designed to protect her from being defeated by damage caused by her own attacks, while also giving her some extra survivability in dangerous situations. Invincibility is intended to work in the following order:

  1. Invincibility activates before Juza attacks.

  2. Enemy attacks and Juza's self-inflicted damage are resolved.

  3. Invincibility ends after the attack sequence is complete.

- What's Happening Now

Currently, the condition for ending Invincibility is tied to whether Juza has acted during her own turn.

For example:

Enemy Basic Attack → Juza activates Invincibility and performs a Response Attack → Enemy attack and Juza's self-inflicted damage are resolved → Enemy continues their turn → Invincibility does not expire → Invincibility remains active until Juza's next turn

As a result, Invincibility may end at an unintended point in the attack sequence.

- What's Changing

After the fix, Invincibility will expire based on the turn itself, rather than whether Juza has taken an action. The updated flow will work as follows:

  1. Before Juza attacks, Invincibility activates for 1 turn.

  2. Enemy attacks and Juza's self-inflicted damage are resolved.

  3. Counterattacks, Additional Responses, and any other attacks are resolved in order.

  4. The current Invincibility effect expires at the end of the turn.

  5. When Invincibility ends, Invincibility activates again for 1 additional turn if the activation conditions are met.

  • This additional Invincibility effect will only activate while Crazy Stance is active.

This means Juza will still be able to keep Invincibility going by consistently attacking, but it will no longer remain active simply because its expiration condition wasn't triggered.

Simply put:

If Juza performs at least one Response Attack each turn while Crazy Stance is active, she can keep Invincibility up indefinitely.

We'll also be updating the relevant skill description to include details about the Invincibility effect that were previously missing.

Juza's Fighting Spirit Stacks

- Intended Behavior

Fighting Spirit is designed to improve Juza's survivability through continuous recovery while also increasing her damage based on the amount of damage she actually takes.

- What's Happening Now

Currently, Fighting Spirit can accumulate based on incoming damage even when Invincibility prevents that damage from reducing Juza's HP.

For example, even if Juza takes no actual HP damage due to Invincibility, the prevented damage can still contribute toward her Fighting Spirit stacks.

This is not the intended behavior.

- What's Changing

After the fix, Fighting Spirit will only accumulate based on damage that actually reduces Juza's HP. Damage completely negated by Invincibility will no longer contribute toward Fighting Spirit stacks. For most battles, we expect the impact on Juza's overall damage output to be relatively minor. However, the difference may be more noticeable in Endurance Combat Training due to the way that stage is structured.

 Summary of Changes

  • Juza's Invincibility effect will now expire based on turns, regardless of whether Juza herself has taken an action.

  • When Invincibility ends, an additional Invincibility effect may activate depending on whether Crazy Stance is active.

  • While Crazy Stance is active, Juza can continue maintaining Invincibility by attacking each turn.

  • Fixed an issue where the interaction between Juza's Invincibility and Fighting Spirit caused Fighting Spirit stacks to accumulate abnormally.

  • While Invincibility is active, Fighting Spirit will now accumulate based on the amount of damage actually applied to Juza's HP, rather than damage that was completely negated.

These fixes are intended to bring Juza's Invincibility and Fighting Spirit mechanics in line with their intended behavior while preserving the way her kit is designed to function.

We apologize for the confusion caused by these issues and appreciate your understanding. We'll continue keeping a close eye on Juza's performance after the changes go live and work to provide a smoother, more stable gameplay experience.

Thank you.
