BIG Update | 1.1.4

Pawnbroker Simulator · published 14 Aug 2026, 09:07 UTC · build 23046135

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hello everyone!

We've been quiet for a while, but today we're finally excited to show you what we've been working on over the past three months!

The biggest addition in this update is the Store Management panel. This is where you'll make important decisions about your shop, your customers, and the flow of foot traffic. It's a whole new layer of management that gives you more control over how your pawn shop operates.

But that's not all!

We've also completely reworked the customer review system. The old 1–5 star rating system is gone. Instead, reviews are now tied to specific events and actions in your shop. Not every customer will leave a review anymore, making each one feel more meaningful and giving you a better idea of how your decisions are affecting your business.

Alongside the Store Management panel and the review system overhaul, this update also brings:

  • New customer traits

  • A brand-new customer interaction

  • 263 new items across various categories

  • Numerous improvements and quality-of-life changes

  • Various bug fixes

You can find the full changelog at the bottom of this post.

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who continues to play Pawnbroker Simulator, share feedback, report bugs, and follow the game's development. Your support and feedback have played a huge part in shaping the game, and we're incredibly grateful to have you along for the journey.

We hope you enjoy the update, and we can't wait to hear what you think!

Best regards,
Next Sky Games

Changelog | 1.1.4.10

🆕New Features

Store Management Panel

A brand-new panel where players can shape their store by obtaining qualifications, setting customer preferences, and running advertisements to increase customer traffic.

🏪Qualifications Tree

  • Added a new Qualification Tree to the Store Management panel where players can apply for qualifications.

  • Added a new qualification progress system in which obtaining qualifications unlocks new ones to apply for.

  • Added 50 new qualifications and removed the old qualifications from the game.

🚫Qualification Exhibition Bonuses

  • Some qualifications will provide Exhibition bonuses. To activate these bonuses, the qualification must be displayed in the store.

  • These bonuses have 5 different tiers, each tier improving the bonus effect.

  • By default, only the first tier is available. Other tiers can be unlocked by obtaining qualifications.

🔓Foot Traffic Advertisement

  • Added a new foot traffic advertisement to the Store Management Panel where players can pay a daily price to increase overall customer traffic to their store.

  • There are 6 foot-traffic advertising tiers. The first tier is the default tier, which provides no additional boost and incurs no cost. The last three tiers are locked by default and can be unlocked by obtaining qualifications.

📜Customer Preference

  • Added a customer preference option to the Store Management panel where players choose a type of customer to reject.

  • There are 4 options: Accept All, No Buyers, No Sellers, No Pledgers.

Customer Reviews System Overhaul

🧍Positive-Negative Review System

  • The 1-5 review score has been replaced with a Positive or Negative score.

  • From now on, some customers will leave positive feedback, while others will leave negative feedback. Not every customer will drop a review.

  • Added Positive and Negative icons to show a customer’s response to the player actions.

🏠Customer Review Effects

  • The overall rating of customer reviews will now provide an appeal multiplier.

  • The overall rating is simply the percentage of positive reviews. A lower overall rating will result in a lower appeal multiplier, thus decreasing the store's appeal.

Customer Traits

🧍New Traits

  • Added 59 new permanent traits to replace the old ones. These new traits affect customers’ decision-making.

🏠Moods

  • Added a Mood type called Mood. A customer's Mood is not permanent and changes over time.

  • Customers will drop reviews (or not drop a Mood) based on their current Mood. For example, one customer may leave feedback, while another doesn’t leave any. Every customer review decision is based on the current Mood.

Customer Interactions

🧍Go End Of Line

  • When a customer arrives at the checkout and there are customers in line behind him/her, the player moves them to the end of the line.

  • Sending a customer to the end of the line consumes 20 points of patience. If the customer doesn’t have 20 points of patience, it cannot be asked to do so.

OKEI, Store Sign, Customization Tiers

🧍Tier Systems

  • Added Tiers to the OKEI products, Store Sign templates, and Customization options.

  • By default, only the Tier 1 options and products are unlocked. The higher tiers can be unlocked by obtaining qualifications.

🧍New OKEI Products

  • Added a 'Wall Gun Rack' that can only be placed on walls and can only hold firearms and melee weapons.

New Items

🧍Added 263 new items in these types:

  • 48 Tech items.

  • 40 Music items.

  • 32 Firearms.

  • 28 Game items.

  • 26 Weapon items.

  • 22 Collectible items.

  • 20 Tool items.

  • 20 Household items.

  • 15 Art items.

  • 6 Jewelry items.

  • 4 Fashion items.

  • 2 Luxury items.

🔧Improvements

🧍Achievements

  • The requirement for the Social Climber achievement is changed. From now on, obtaining the qualification “Elite Clientele” will unlock this achievement.

  • Updated the definition of the ‘Hidden Gem’ achievement to ‘Discover a legendary item through appraisal with a high confidence, with any help from an expert.’

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the ‘Night Owl’ achievements to be earned after staying open for 1 night instead of 3.

🧍 Stamina

  • Decreased the overall stamina consumption.

  • Now, when skipping time using T, the time skip panel will recover Stamina instead of consuming. The recovery rate will be much lower than sleeping.

🧍Item Spawning

  • Added a new pool-based item spawn system to improve player experience. This new system tracks every item in the game to achieve the best item variety when choosing a new item to spawn.

🧍User Interface

  • Replaced the text ‘Loan’ with ‘Redemption’ in the pledger customer tooltip panel.

  • Increased the clickable area of the buttons on the Bills and the OKEI pages in the NextPad.

  • Updated the information in the How To Play panel.

  • Added a ‘Waiting for items to be brought’ tooltip to buyers who are waiting for the player to bring bought items, to explain the situation better.

🧍Misc

  • To help players navigate the area, indicators for the home and store will pop up based on the player’s position. When the player walks away from the store, these indicators will pop up to help the player navigate.

  • Slowed down the overall customer traffic to the store. The Advertisement section in the Store Management panel can be used to boost customer traffic.

  • Increased consecutive bill period from 2 days to 4 days.

  • Updated the shader that was used to render items to improve item visuals.

  • Increased the range of attraction effect of large items such as paintings to allow them to create better synergies with other items.

  • Replaced the yellow ‘Customer Area’ zone in the Horizontal Gun Rack with a purple ‘Required Extra Space’ zone.

  • Added a guide for scavenging that gets triggered after applying to the ‘Urban Salvaging Permit’ qualification.

  • Added a screen indicator that pops up after closing the store outside of work hours that guides players to their home.

🐛Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that was causing customers to attempt to purchase items that were placed within the player's home.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from using the interactions wheel on newly purchased items at checkout.

  • Fixed an issue that was allowing items to clip through the back of the Showcase Shelf.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed buyers to offer prices greater than the listed price of an item.

  • Fixed an issue that was causing customers to calculate their initial desired prices incorrectly.

  • Fixed an issue that was causing the game to freeze after purchasing the second store expansion.

⚠️Important Save File Compatibility & Update Notes

  • Save File Compatibility: Older save files remain compatible with this version, but sweeping system updates will impact your progress.

  • Qualifications Reset & Compensation: All old qualifications have been removed from the game and will not transfer over. To compensate for this loss, players will receive tokens to claim new qualifications at no cost.

  • Tier Restrictions: Purchasing higher-tier OKEI items, store signs, or customization options now requires unlocking their respective tiers. Although previously owned items remain fully usable, repurchasing them will require tier unlocks.

  • Salvaging Changes: Trash salvaging is no longer unlocked by default at the start of the game and requires the "Urban Salvaging Permit" qualification. This change does not affect previously claimed items.
