Salvēte Lanistas!

Work on the new content begins tomorrow! :) In the meantime, however, I happened to fix quite a few bugs that I did not want to leave waiting for another update.

So, without further ado, here are the patch notes:

  • On Hard and Very Hard difficulties, the AI will now place a stronger priority on purchasing equipment instead of spending its denarii on Ludus upgrades.

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Champions Cup from progressing correctly for all players.

  • Fixed prize payouts incorrectly using placeholder text when translated, causing them to display 1,000 denarii.

  • Improved the text layout on several UI buttons to prevent longer translations from extending beyond their edges.

  • Fixed tooltip backgrounds not scaling correctly when displaying longer text.

  • Fixed an issue that caused two different texts to appear inside the button for Training Matches.

  • Fixed Steam Cloud not working correctly. Thanks to Nebu for finding the typo!

  • Fixed Gladiators with the Colossus trait not actually appearing larger during gameplay.

  • Fixed the stat bonuses from the Colossus trait not being included in the Ludus Exchange preview.

As always, should you encounter a bug, please report it in the appropriate forum here: Bug Reporting

We also have a Discord server now! Whether you are looking for people to play Multiplayer with or simply want to chat about the game, you can join through this link: https://discord.gg/vCktKVtZt3

All the best!

Today, I have another update packed with exciting additions for you to enjoy! :) Before we get to the patch notes, I want to clear up something important. With version 0.96 now out, you might understandably think the game is approaching a full 1.0 release. To be completely transparent, I didn’t plan the version numbering as carefully as I should have. Even if we reach “1.0” i…Major update3 Sep 2026Patch 0.95 is out now!Salvēte dear Roman Citizens! I know this update has taken a little longer than expected, but the new World View required me to rework quite a few of the game’s underlying systems. The positive side of this is that the way Gladiators, Lanistas and Doctores are handled is now much more modular, which also opens the door for potential future systems such as transfers between Ludi and much more. I…
