Hi Dice Gods, this is LeijoaLion, the developer.
Since launch, the most common feedback has been that new players struggle to understand how the A/B/C/D scoring zones work, and the tutorial could get stuck. This update rebuilds the tutorial from the ground up and improves how hand information is presented.
Tutorial Overhaul (14 steps)
- Reworked flow: learn the core lock-and-reroll loop first; shackles are introduced right before your first attack instead of up front.
- New four-zone lesson: after your reroll, the board lights up Zone A (matching numbers), B (straights), and C (combo hands) at once, showing how zone multipliers multiply together.
- New interactive step: tap a lit zone and watch the dice that form the hand light up.
- The tutorial now points out exactly where the hand description banner and the shackle description window appear, so you can always find them later.
- Fixed an issue where the Attack button could get stuck during the tutorial.
Hand Table Readability
- Example dice now use a notation system: same letters = same numbers (any value), consecutive letters = consecutive numbers, actual digits = exact required numbers, ? = any die, with a legend on top.
- New "Fixed / Any" tags next to hand names, so you can tell at a glance whether the shown numbers are examples or requirements.
- Every hand now shows example dice, enlarged with clear large numerals.
Battle Info Improvements
- A/B/C/D corner labels on the four scoring zones.
- Tapping a zone highlights the dice forming that hand and shows its description in a banner below the board, without covering your dice.
- Some relic trigger notices moved to the bottom of the board so they no longer block the dice.
Other Fixes
- Fixed the settings window occasionally becoming unclickable.
- Clarified the Absolute Order description: the base requirement is all 8 dice odd, or all 8 even.
This update is live in the full game, in all four languages: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, and Japanese.
If you have not picked up the game yet, you can still try the demo first, then jump into the full game for this update. Feedback is always welcome in the community hub. I read everything!
