A quieter screen
- The HUD now keeps only what you need on it at all times: the clock, the day and your money. Everything else shows up when it has something to say.
- Tea and glass stocks appear when you look at the boiler, the teapots, the tea shelf, the sink or the tray stand, and fade out again when you look away.
- Daily goals moved to a key: hold Tab to see them. They also appear on their own for a few seconds whenever one of them progresses, and at the start of the day.
- Debt only appears when it is overdue. Your shop level moved to the PC, under SHOP.
- Whatever you are carrying is now shown in the bottom-left corner.
- Shop status (prep / closing / night) is no longer a permanent word on screen. You get a notification when it changes, and the day bar's colour carries it the rest of the time.
The tutorial is its own mode
- It is on the main menu now. Starting a new game no longer asks you about it, in single player or in co-op.
- It is a sandbox: your saved game is never read, written or deleted. When you finish, you return to the main menu and start the real game from there.
- Previously the tutorial was set up as a new game and wiped your save to start it. It no longer touches your save at all.
Next up: the tutorial is being replaced with an illustrated guide you can open at any time, including from the pause menu.
