Today’s update brings a larger batch of improvements to navigation, flight, asteroid mining, and several quality-of-life systems.
-Much smoother flights: An artificial stutter effect on previously unexplored routes has been removed. First-time flights now run smoothly as well.
-Improved flight presentation: Launch, cruise, and landing animations have been made smoother.
-Improved star map: Sectors, routes, labels, and hex fields are now clearer and more readable.
-Better map visibility during flight: The tactical map remains much more visible while travelling.
-Asteroid mining visual overhaul: More depth, particles, dust, and additional sensor effects have been added to asteroid fields.
-Improved scanner visuals: The field scanner now features a more pronounced sensor sweep, light pulses, and clearer target detection.
-Improved mining laser: The laser now has a brighter core, glow effects, energy pulses, impact effects, sparks, and visible stress cracks on asteroids.
-Better mining feedback: Resource finds and extraction chains are now highlighted more clearly.
-Storage improvements: Storing and retrieving cargo no longer rebuilds the entire screen every time. Scroll position is preserved.
-Ship change reworked: Changing hulls at the shipyard now takes a short amount of time and is shown with a progress bar.
-Side missions improved: Transport missions now work as proper delivery contracts again — cargo is loaded when accepting the job and delivered at the destination via the tavern or info pad.
-Data pad fix: Quickly clicking multiple times can no longer add the same trade entry to the data pad more than once.
-Various smaller UI, performance, and stability improvements.
