In preparation for tomorrow's demo release, a new diplomacy and reputation system has been implemented.
The update introduces formal interaction options between factions alongside a global reputation tracker that impacts aggressive expansion and pillaging.
Diplomacy Actions:
Alliances: Form a alliance with another player (limited to 1 alliance per player, allowing a maximum of 2 two-player alliances per match at the same time).
Relations: Options to actively improve or worsen diplomatic relations with other factions over time.
Trade Privileges: You can agree on mutual trade privileges through the diplomacy menu. The dedicated trade offer interface itself is currently visual-only, as active trading functionality is still in development.
War and Peace: Declare war or send peace offers (white peace, demanding resources/coins, or offering resources/coins).
Reputation System: Taking control of regions now reduces your faction's reputation, scaled to the size of the acquired territory. If your reputation drops too low, neutral status is lost: all other factions gain the ability to attack your lands without declaring war first.
The demo featuring these systems launches tomorrow, September 14.
