Forestry Overhaul
All trees now have a chance to drop stashes on the ground while harvesting them. These stashes instantly regenerate 30 stamina and provide a forestry buff. Additionally, the stashes can chain into other stashes which provide wood, resin and have a chance to drop a new charm.
Trees have a chance to drop a fertile seed on the ground. Once looted, the fertile seed can be planted and will grow into a tree in 20 minutes. The tree gives more wood yield and higher experience. The tree can also be left for 8 hours which will make it grow into a mature tree with more health. The mature trees are not time efficient for the materials provided compared to the younger trees but are more passive
Added Hexite Infused Trees. Hexite infused trees provide more experience and loot than regular trees. Additionally, once chopped, they leave behind a stump which can be harvested for very high experience and wood yield. This stump ignores damage and decays after 30 seconds, allowing you to harvest it as a group. The stump periodically debuffs you but the debuff can be cleared with a new forestry ability called “Break the Roots”. Break the Roots has no cooldown but costs stamina
Added 2 new forestry abilities - Break the Roots and Hewing Strikes. Break the Roots is used in the Hexite Stump minigame to clear the debuff and Hewing Strikes provide forestry speed.
Added several new forestry charms and instruments
Sailing Mini Overhaul
Sailing flotsam resources now convert into an open version of themselves when interacted with. The open resource can be looted by an unlimited number of players for a short period of time. This means that players can easily gather sailing resources as a group, similar to the uncharted shipments.
Also added some rare drops to the sailing resources.
Added a Mining Quest to introduce the player to quarries and rich vein prospecting
Added a new drop to the sentinel - Energy Crystal Fragments
Collect enough Energy Crystal Fragments and you can craft new trinkets at the heart workstation
4 new trinkets are available. Trinkets provide profession specific gathering speed as well as a profession specific buff proc in the following categories
Survivalist Energy Crystal - Hunting / Fishing / Leatherworking
Stonesmith Energy Crystal - Smithing / Masonry / Mining
Verdant Energy Crystal - Forestry / Carpentry / Scholar
Landweaver Energy Crystal - Tailoring / Farming / Foraging
Level up stats for all professions
When leveling up for all professions you will gain additional stats automatically, these can be viewed in the Compendium>Progression Tab.
Gain Power, Speed, Crit Multiplier for that profession with each level
Note: After feedback from the community we opted to not give crit chance from this. We are committed to make changes to the game such that no stats are undesirable
Added a new Mount Type - Equous (Horse)
The Equous is a decent all rounder mount that aims to provide solid speed, storage, and off-roading capabilities without being the best in class at any of them. We see it as a nice second mount unlock to carry you through the early game.
Added a quest to unlock Equous mount (Taming level 22)
Added a repeatable Taming game loop to befriend Wild Equous
