Ahoj!

I am really excited to finally share something we’ve been working toward for a long time - our new gameplay trailer. This is the first proper look at the game in motion. It shows early gameplay, the diorama-style world, and the atmosphere we’ve been building piece by piece over the past months.

Alpha Demo & Patreon

Game development is incredibly demanding, both in terms of time and finances. So far, we are funding most of it ourselves, but we want to involve people who enjoy Zlín City just as much as we do. At the same time, we would love to give our supporters a behind-the-scenes peek at development, allow them to get involved in how the game is created, and invite them to join us on this journey from the very beginning.

About Zlín City

Zlin City is a cozy city-builder game inspired by the actual town of Zlín and its architecture. It combines the charm of real-world miniatures with photogrammetry and Unreal Engine 5 technology. Players create small, diorama-like towns set in the magical era of the 1920s and 1930s, fulfilling the citizens' tasks and wishes while experiencing a peaceful, playful atmosphere and discovering an engaging story.

In a time when things are being artificially generated, Zlín City bets on the beauty of imperfection and an unmistakable human touch. It draws inspiration from model railways, children's toys, and classic puppet animation.

Why Physical Models?

Authenticity and a certain imperfection are fundamental to us. Small details like paint drips, brush strokes, glue marks, or slightly damaged edges give the models a character that is very difficult to replicate on a computer. It is precisely these imperfections that bring a human touch to the game.

Equally important is the fact that the resulting models can live on outside the game. We aim to use them in workshops and exhibitions, or share them with children and others who love to create.

Love from Zlín, Pavel

Community26 Jun 2026New NameAhoj! We’ve decided to rename the game previously known as “Zlín City: Arch Moderna” to “Zlín City: Diorama.” It was not an easy decision, but as the project has evolved, we felt the old name no longer really matches the direction we’re taking. It also ended up being a bit tricky to say and explain without extra context. We also felt this was the latest point at which we could still make this c…
