VRChat is available on Meta Quest, PC via Steam, iOS, Android, Viveport, and Pico. You don't need a VR headset to play; a modern Windows computer works just fine, and many users opt for a mouse, keyboard, or gamepad.

Common Questions
Is VRChat actually free? Yes! There's a VRC+ subscription that adds extra favorite slots for avatars and worlds, profile customization, and other perks, but it's not required!
Do I need a powerful PC? No! While having a more powerful PC helps, it isn’t necessary. VRChat has a bunch of options to make your experience comfortable, no matter what.
Is there moderation? You can use block and mute to deal with anyone making your time worse. We also moderate users who behave poorly on our platform. Report users who are being offensive or breaking the rules, and our Trust and Safety team will take care of it. For the best experience, try checking out an instance run by a Group! Our Groups are communities that moderate their own instances.
Will my friends from other platforms be here? Probably! If you use Discord to log in, you’ll be able to see all of your friends who already play (and who have connected their Discord accounts). You can also try searching for your friends’ usernames in VRChat.
I don't want to use VR. Is that really okay? Completely. Desktop mode has full access to worlds, avatars, voice chat, and social features. You control your camera with a mouse and keyboard. Nobody will give you a hard time for it.
