Redout 2 1.3.3 - Patch Notes

Back so soon? You bet! 1.3.3 is a quick pit stop: a handful of fixes for timers, multiplayer results and one embarrassingly blurry logo. We'd rather get them to you now than make you wait. But something bigger is on the way for the coming weeks!

General

  • Fixed some edge cases with boost input not being applied after closing Pause Menu or using Rewind.

  • Fixed all (or we truly hope so) instances of end event time sometimes being increased by 1 millisecond. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.

  • Fixed 34BigThings’ logo being blurry and pixelated in the game intro cutscene. Now, we guarantee you, it’s much better.

Multiplayer

  • Fixed end results not counting time of unraced laps to the total race time after hot-joining post-first lap.

  • Fixed end results sometimes showing finishers in the wrong order. Bribed personnel have been exiled to the Origin Black Hole.

  • Gave coffee to the stopwatch guy so the race timer for clients doesn’t start with a delay anymore.

  • Fixed a rare crash for party members caused by failing to load the “Welcome” map after the host left the lobby before the race started. As you know, you are welcome here any time.

  • Fixed a very rare issue of having only the engine trails visible for the opponents after destroying the ship during the race.

UI

  • Changed color of the game version number in credits to white (red is out…)

Audio

  • Fixed offroad SFX emitted by the opponents being played, heard from too far away, and never being stopped.

Known Issues

  • We continue to monitor the overall possible pace in various tracks with the recent changes in pitching behavior.

  • Rarely, race countdown SFX might be replayed for lobby clients just after the race start.

  • Part of the “Spirit’s Peak” music track plays with the music off.
