Dear Players,

Missed our previous devlog? Discover the new Finances system here:Devlog #3 - Finances

Before continuing with our numbered devlogs, we wanted to surprise you with an additional one dedicated to a feature many of you have been requesting for a long time. Our previous devlogs mainly focused on the broader management of your establishment, including the Menu du Jour, employee skills, training, and finances. These systems are designed to add more depth, realism, and strategic decision-making to your bistro. However, we have not forgotten about hands-on gameplay. We have often said that Parisian Bistro Simulator is not a cooking game, and that remains true. It is first and foremost a management and service game about running a Parisian bistro.Still, we listened to your feedback. We were touched to see how many of you loved the appearance of the dishes, while also feeling frustrated at watching your chefs work tirelessly without being able to help them.Today, we are introducing Kitchen Workstations.

🍽️ Dish Specialties

With the next major update, nearly every dish will be assigned to a culinary specialty:

  • Seafood
  • Cold Kitchen
  • Pastry
  • Viennoiserie
  • Traditional Cuisine
  • Sauce
  • Grill & Meat
  • World Cuisine

As explained in our Employees & Skills devlog, chefs will need the appropriate specialty before they can prepare certain dishes.Devlog #2 - Employees & SkillsThese specialties will now also be connected to new Kitchen Workstations.

🔪 Specialized Kitchen Workstations

As you progress, you will be able to unlock five specialized workstations and place them inside your kitchen:

  • Seafood Station
  • Cold Kitchen Station
  • Pastry Station
  • Sauce Station
  • Grill & Meat Station

Each workstation can be used by your chefs and provides a passive cooking-speed bonus for dishes belonging to its specialty. For example, placing a Seafood Station will increase the preparation speed of all Seafood dishes cooked by your chefs by 5%.Today, we are revealing this Seafood Station, but we will let you discover the other workstations and their activities later.

🎮 Helping Your Chefs

Kitchen Workstations will not be limited to passive bonuses. Players will also be able to interact with them and complete short activities to help the kitchen team. These interactions will remain simple and optional. They are not intended to turn the game into a complex cooking simulator, but to provide more hands-on gameplay during your services. At the Seafood Station, your objective will be to open oysters. Each oyster successfully opened will fill the workstation's boost gauge. Once the gauge reaches 100%, chefs preparing Seafood dishes will temporarily receive an additional cooking-speed bonus of more than 10%.The gauge will gradually decrease over time. You can return to the workstation later to reactivate the effect, or continue interacting with it to maintain the boost for longer.

⚙️ Gameplay and Optimization

By combining the 5% passive bonus with the active boost of more than 10%, a workstation can provide a total cooking-speed improvement of over 15% for its associated dishes. This can be combined with the Cooking Speed skills of your chefs, their specialties, and a carefully planned Menu du Jour. With the right optimization, you will be able to prepare dishes much faster, improve table turnover, serve more customers, and increase the profitability of your bistro.Players who prefer management can simply benefit from the passive bonuses, while those who want more interaction can actively help their chefs during busy services.

❤️ Conclusion

Kitchen Workstations are an additional system that we wanted to reveal through this surprise devlog. Our objective is to introduce more hands-on activities while preserving the management and service identity of Parisian Bistro Simulator.Thank you for reading this surprise devlog.Feel free to react, share the post, and tell us what you think about the new Kitchen Workstations and the ability to actively help your chefs. We will be back soon with our next numbered devlog. In the meantime, you can join our Discord or our QQ group to discuss the game with the community.Discord
