It's been a little over a year since Dojo Masters launched. We've been busy behind the scenes cleaning things up, improving systems, prepping new content, and designing more ways to play. We felt it was about time that we added something new.
All Martial Arts are being re-balanced to align with the content in the Season 2 update.
Additionally, we have been chipping away at some really niche bugs and oversights across the board to make things more consistent.
Lastly, we have been experimenting with and tweaking various aspects from gameplay-flow, execution, readability, VFX, audio queues, and the like. So expect things to feel slightly different once the update arrives. And we will continue to make improvements as the updates continue to roll out.
3 New Martial Arts will be joining the roster:
The Expansion Pack also comes with 2 Exclusive Stages:
Lastly, the DLC pack comes with 3 new exclusive Martial Art music tracks from our amazing composer.
(Dojo Masters: Expansion Pack (DLC) is paid DLC)
Mission Mode is a free new single-player game mode designed to challenge you in a variety of unique scenarios. Aim for the Gold Trophies!
Season 2 will launch with 4 Missions. With new missions added every week (up until we run out of ideas). We can't wait to show you what we've got cooking :P
Along with all of these new additions, we will also be updating Dojo Master's menu interface. While it still isn't complete (A handful of menus still need to be converted), we felt that it would be a missed opportunity not to give you guys a taste of the new look when Season 2 drops.
Season 2 will include 3 new generic stages to play on. While these stages are primarily designed for the new Mission Mode, they are also planned to be used in some future unannounced content...
While originally planned the Ranked mode update to be sometime shortly after launch, we ran into a lot of roadblocks that prevented us from releasing Dojo Masters' Ranked Mode in a fully functional state.
Unfortunately, we still need a little more time to work some things out. We have a lot of playtesting to do before it is ready. Once Season 2 releases we will be putting all of our effort into making Ranked our next top priority. Ideally, we're targeting a month after, but we apologize for the further delay 🙏
With all of that said, at the very least, I would like to loosely detail how exactly Ranked will function once it releases. Just to give you a small taste of what we're setting up.
*Reminder: Ranked Mode will be a free update.

Ranks are determined by belts. Every player starts off without one. Once you've won your first match, you are rewarded a basic white belt and this belt can never be lost. There are 20* unique belt ranks.
Every Rank has an RP(Ranked Points) requirement to move up to the next belt. The requirement increases as you climb. Each Ranked Match will be a First-to-3 set. Meaning, you can earn up to 3 RP per ranked match.
Every round-win rewards you +1 RP, losing to a player of the same rank loses you -1 RP, but losing to a player of a lower Rank will drop your current belt rank by 1. However, if you've lost your belt to a player of a lower rank, you can win the subsequent round(s) to boost yourself back up a belt, but now starting at the beginning of that rank's RP.
Ranked Belts will be tied to the individual Martial Art. So you can begin the climb from a White Belt with a new Martial Art without fear of losing your progress with another.
Lastly, if you don't maintain your Ranked play for a long period of time, your Ranked Martial Arts will gradually begin depreciating in rank until they've returned down to a White Belt.
*Ranked Mode details are subject to change.
Around launch-time, we will be running a few community events, as well as laying out a roadmap of future content. So keep an eye out for more details!
-Also, All previous Replay Data will be lost one the Season 2 patch drops due to incompatibility.
