Hey Holey community!

We're back with Demo Update 0.0.75, and this one is packed with some foundational changes that lay the groundwork for a much more polished and dynamic experience. Read on for the full breakdown!

VISUAL OVERHAUL

  • The player character has received a complete visual rework — expect significantly improved animations and an all-new look.

MOVEMENT SYSTEM REWORK

  • The entire movement system has been migrated from client-side to host-side processing. This is a major architectural change that unlocks proper physical interactions in the game world, such as climbing on top of objects and other players.

  • This opens the door to a huge variety of new mechanics down the line.

DEATH MECHANIC IMPROVEMENT

  • Previously, when a player died, the game carried a ragdoll body which sometimes caused unintended bugs.

  • This has been replaced with a cleaner tablet/slab system on death, removing those issues entirely.

  • A special creature tied to this new mechanic is coming to the game soon. Stay tuned!

BALANCE

  • Mot Creature (Nerfed):

    • Mot will no longer leap onto you repeatedly in quick succession.

    • The damage threshold on landing has been reduced, making it easier to dodge out of the way.
