Hello! Today I would like to talk a bit about the current status of Title Update 6, the next major update! Please keep in mind that anything shown/discussed may change upon release.

New Crafting System

The old crafting system that is present in Title Update 5 (The current version) has been in the game since Title Update 1. Needless to say, a crafting revamp is necessary. Now when crafting you can easily see what you can and cannot craft with the current resources you have. The recipes will also tell you how much of the resources you have in your inventory.

Let There Be Light!

Gone are the days of seeing everything even if it is far underground. The new raycasting light system I added now completely changes how Tiny Pixel Planets looks. I want to go further in depth with how the system works once Title Update 6 is released, but the results speak for themselves. You may also see some of the new blocks I snuck into the image.

Other News

I also have added a new planet, but there are a few small things I need to work on before showcasing it, but make sure you prepare, because this will be the hardest planet I have added to the game.

I plan to remove the tutorial world and replace it with tutorial popups that progress as you play your own save. These tutorial popups can be disabled when creating a new save. This will allow the tutorial to go more in depth with the game mechanics, while allowing you to keep all your progress.

I am sorry for how long Title Update 6 has been taking. With how long it took to finalize the lighting system, and me being really busy recently, I haven't had much time to work on the game. I don't think Title Update 6 will be releasing this year, but hopefully it should come out sometime in January.

In the meantime keep exploring space!
