Hello! Ed from Whetstone Games here! We've lifted the lid! It's bloody off! We're excited to finally reveal OFFBEAT and give you a first look at the game.

In putting together this announcement, we needed to create some music for the announce trailer. The game is literally about making music, so naturally I wanted to make the track using the game itself. So I fired up OFFBEAT, plugged the Tiger-01 into a delay pedal, and got to work.

Anyway, long story short, Pantaloon liked it so much that they decided to release it! And that meant that our announce trailer morphed into the music video for our first single.

Here's Not Your Uncle's Ringtone. I'm very proud of it:

Listen on your favourite streaming platform.

It all demonstrates something integral to the game, though. OFFBEAT is a game that lets anybody create and export their own music, and then potentially have their work in the game published. We've created OFFBEAT Radio as a way to publish and distribute music created in the game, and celebrate the most notable work. So you, dear player, have every shot at a literal (albeit not major) record deal.

We'll have more to share with you very soon, including a Demo where you'll be able to play an early version of the game firsthand. Watch this space.

In the meantime, please pop the game onto your wishlist - this helps little old us immeasurably x
