ENDLESS Legend 2 is making the most of its Early Access period, shipping four beefy updates in the last few months. Update #13, called Steady Tides, reworked and balanced victory conditions, which now require players to complete all objectives on a victory path. The early game economy got some adjustments, shifting where certain buildings are unlocked and when. The development team kept the changes rolling with a reworked militia system, as well as a huge rebalance for hero skills and equipment.

Update #16, called Echoes of Creation, added the long-awaited custom faction system! This system allows players to craft unique, stylized factions to play in the world of ENDLESS Legend 2. The patch also introduced a new visual layer, called District View, that made it easier for players to get a clear, quick view of all their buildings. The Endless Monsoon got implemented as well, adding a new late-game challenge to punctuate the end of a game.

Update #21 made major changes to Public Opinion and reworked the Kin of Sheredyn faction.
Following the Public Opinion updates, the game's AI will no longer forget your awful behavior. The cumulative Public Opinion system, combined with the badge system, make it so that patterns of player behavior make a lasting impact on the AI -- so your diplomacy or warmongering become all the more impactful.
As one of the most played factions in ENDLESS Legend 2, the Kin of Sheredyn rework presented a bit of a challenge to the development team. Of the many changes in this rework, the most impactful include:
- Making the Kin of Sheredyn the only faction that can have level 3 districts
- Updating their Keep District with automatic foundation building and extra bonuses
- Improving Divine Population with strong effects
- Making the faction feel more "hero-centric" with technologies that provide weapons, armor, and amulets
- Removing the faction's ability to build Forum Districts (but keeping other ways to generate influence)

Patch #25 is hot off the presses and made several important changes to the game, especially in regards to districts.
District cost scaling was adjusted based on player feedback. Basic and elite districts were made more distinct, and building costs were adjusted to reflect that distinction. The puzzle system of district effects and synergies has been enhanced, and additional synergies can be created between them now.
The combat system also saw some changes and additions. The development team implemented combat retaliation. When a player attacks an enemy unit for the first time, a counterattack is performed, dealing 70% base damage. They also added a militia tab, allowing players to see what militia they have in their cities and territories at a glance.
Last but certainly not least, as of this patch, ENDLESS Legend 2 is now officially Steam Deck verified! Excellent news for players who want to keep building their empires on the go.
