Hey Disco Crew,

May 5th is right around the corner and we have some new announcements to share, including pricing and how you can get your hands on Dead as Disco’s killer music.

Early Access Pricing

Pricing & Packages

Early Access launches at $24.99, but for two weeks, it’s 20% off at $19.99!

(And pricing will be regional, as requested)

We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the support of our early adopters, so the launch discount is meant to reward our day one fans with the best deal possible–the price won’t go lower than this until long after 1.0.

Speaking of 1.0, joining Early Access means you’re getting everything we add along the way. Every boss, balance patch, My Music update, and more, is yours automatically.

We’re also launching the official Dead as Disco Soundtrack across most major music platforms, so you’ll be able to get all our killer music whatever way you like best (more details below).

If you’re a true superfan, we’ve bundled the game and streamer safe soundtrack. The price depends on the platform, but it’s on sale for around $25 during our launch (regional pricing will apply here too).

Where to Buy

In order to get Dead as Disco to as many players as possible we are partnering with Steam, Green Man Gaming, Xsolla, and the Epic Games Store. This will allow us to make the game available globally wherever you normally buy games.

What about the Demo?

We’re keeping the demo available for free for those who would rather wait for 1.0 but still want to crack some skulls on the dance floor.

Albums & Music Streaming

Let’s talk about music! Many of you have asked us how you can get your hands on our sick beats, and do we have some good news for you! We will be releasing two versions of the soundtrack alongside the game’s launch.

Dead as Disco, Streamer Safe Soundtrack Vol. 1

With the launch of Early Access you will be able to buy the streamer safe version of the soundtrack directly alongside the game. This studio recorded album will contain all 15 Original Songs as well as 5 bonus tracks, and a slew of themed wallpapers (See some of them in this post) for your PC or Mobile device.

Cover songs and licensed music will not be included in the streamer safe album, due to how music licensing rights are handled. The streamer safe album will be priced $9.99, but for two weeks will be discounted 20% to $7.99 (localized to your region.)

“One Night Only”, Dead as Disco’s Radio Play Soundtrack Vol. 1

We will be releasing the 27 track soundtrack to all digital platforms including Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, iTunes and many more! No matter how you listen to music you should always be able to get your Disco on!This release will include both the Original Music as well as the Cover Songs. The prices for Singles, Albums, and Streaming will vary depending on retailer but will be in line with what you’d expect to pay from these platforms, including any of the free streaming services and platforms.

Why do you have two albums?

It’s a long story, but the simple answer is, Licensed Music rights are pretty complicated. Our goal is to support artists who partner with us, so we can bring you all some more amazing collaborations in the future. As a result we need to distribute any licensed music through traditional music retail channels and pricing structures.

What about future music?

Volume one of the soundtracks are stand alone albums, but we’re excited to keep sharing our music with all of you! As new songs are released we will be adding them to streaming services ASAP. Once we have enough new music, we will assemble additional albums and release them. This means you can expect a full standalone vol. 2 album to be released alongside the 1.0 launch, with additional songs.

Supporting our Creators

Our creators have been a large part of our success, so we wanted to do something to give back to them. We will also be launching an Affiliate program with the launch of Early Access in partnership with Xsolla. Creators can sign up for the program and once they are accepted they will be given their own custom shop & links for Dead as Disco, and we will share 25% the revenue with you.Over time we’ll continue to do more for our Creators, hopefully expanding these programs to offer other incentives like platform Integrations, drops, unique in game creator rewards & More!So get out there and support your favorite Dead as Disco creator!

Bring the noise!

Thank you all for coming on this ride with us. None of this happens without you showing up, playing, breaking things, and sharing what you thought. We can’t wait for you to jump into Dead as Disco on May 5th!
