Development News!

Hello everyone!

We wanted to share a broader news update on what has been happening behind the scenes recently and give some insight into the current direction of development.

Over the past weeks, work has been continuing across multiple areas of the game, including vehicles, economy systems, visuals, world improvements, bug fixing, optimization, and preparation for future content. At the same time, a significant amount of development has been dedicated to a secret project that we’re not quite ready to fully reveal yet.

A lot of preparation work is currently underway for upcoming internal testing phase, and we’re excited about the direction things are heading.

There are many new features, systems, and improvements being worked on simultaneously, and while some of them are still under wraps, we think players will be very excited once they start getting revealed.

Improvement work continues across both vehicles and equipment, with a major focus currently being placed on excavators and and how they behave.

A number of long-awaited tweaks, fixes, and adjustments are being worked on to improve overall vehicle handling, stability, responsiveness, and general gameplay feel.

At the same time, other vehicles and equipment across the game are also receiving small tweaks, adjustments, and general refinements as development continues.

Another major focus has been the overall visual quality of the game world.

What we are working on:

  • Environment improvements

  • Terrain and world detail

  • Lighting and atmosphere

  • General visual polish

  • Better world immersion

  • Overhauled all ore visuals

Alongside all the larger development work, bug fixing remains a constant priority.

We know there are many issues players have been reporting, and we’ve continued working through fixes and improvements across gameplay systems, vehicles, UI, visuals, and general quality-of-life areas.

Here are just some of the bugs we have recently tackled:

  • Fixed issue with floating drill attachment display for clients (one of the oldest reported bugs)

  • Fixed issue with character shadow duplication

  • Fixed issue where automatic gearbox HUD was not displaying correctly

  • Fixed dirt texture visibility issues from excavator cab view

  • Fixed issue where players were able to walk outside the map

  • Fixed issue where players could move company funds without the correct role permissions

  • Fixed issue where trucks required extreme angles to unload dirt from the truck bed

And many, many more reported by players.

If you encounter issues, visual glitches, gameplay problems, or anything else that doesn’t seem right, please continue reporting them. Even smaller reports and details can help us track down problems and improve the overall experience for everyone. You can also report bugs here: Bug Report

The community continues to be a huge part of what drives development forward, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone who continues to share their feedback, screenshots, ideas, bug reports, videos, creations, and suggestions.

There are so many talented and creative people within the community, and we’ve been seeing an incredible amount of great content being shared across Discord, Steam and other platforms.

Moving forward, we want to put a bigger spotlight on community creations and player-made content within future news posts.

Whether it’s screenshots, production layouts, or creative projects — we love seeing what players can create and how the community continues to grow around the game.

Your feedback and support genuinely help shape the direction of development, and we appreciate everyone who continues to be part of the journey.

Remember, if you want to see your world's screenshots & clips featured on our TikTok account, "Out Of Ore," use the hashtag #TIKTOKPOST when sharing it in the Discord group ooo-screenshots.

We’re also planning to update the development roadmap to better reflect the current direction of development and ongoing work. So stay tuned.

In addition, we’ve been looking at new ways to feature more community creations and player content within future news posts and updates — something we’re excited to expand on further later down the line.

More updates, improvements, fixes, and visual polish are continuously being worked on as development moves forward.

Don’t worry — even though the traditional Friday News posts are gradually being phased out, we will continue sharing development updates, news, progress reports, and other content regularly moving forward.
