Here’s the lowdown on the Ice Roads Expansion for Alaskan Road Truckers:
Stay Frosty on the Ice Roads
One of the core things we wanted to focus on in Alaskan Road Truckers is that feeling of teetering on the edge between success and disaster. That’s why our game has features like hunger, temperature, and more to make the world immersive and put you in the boots of an Alaskan trucker.
Our new expansion, Ice Roads, cranks everything up a notch. In it you’ll find a whole new area to explore that adds a ton of new roads and routes to the game, all focused around the coldest of conditions.
If you’ve been looking for a new challenge, if you’ve been looking to drive tougher, narrower, more dangerous roads, or if you just love snow and ice - the Ice Roads Expansion should give you everything you’re looking for.

Updates and Bug Fixes
Alongside both the Ice Roads Expansion and Trucking Hell DLC, we’ve also been hard at work updating the game and working on issues that may affect the player experience.
So even if you don’t head to the new region or pick up any skulls for your truck, you’ll still be able to enjoy a smoother and better time in Alaskan Road Truckers.
Here’s the update notes:
- Optional support for DirectX 12 (add -dx12 to the launch parameters in Steam. May cause some stuttering until shaders finish compiling.)
- Discord Totem Update
- Numerous optimization improvements
- New option to disable rearview mirror rendering
- Vastly shortened loading times upon death
- Option to swap Player Character at HQ
- Roads on map redrawn to match GPS
- Seasons better defined on the HUD
- Cooking in the oven now grants Personality XP
- Fix for rare instances of windshield flicker in winter
- Prevented camera clipping into the truck
- Various bug fixes
