Commanders!

Modern Warships is getting ready to make its way to Steam very soon! We’re gaining momentum — the fleet is being expanded with new vessels, the arsenal is receiving impressive new weaponry. In this article, we’ll reveal all the details of version 0.103 — plenty of surprises await fans of modern military hardware!

🛳️ Assault Landing Ship HTMS Chang (LPD-792)

Country: Thailand

Tier: III

Role: assault ship with advanced strike and defensive systems

A Thai Navy amphibious assault ship, an export version of the Chinese Type 071. It is the largest vessel in the Royal Thai Navy. Equipped according to modern standards, it carries a wide range of modular weapons for all types of combat scenarios, as well as an advanced air defense system.

Its gameplay largely resembles that of its Chinese counterpart, the CN Type 071. However, there is a key difference: the ship has slightly reduced strike power, but significantly enhanced defensive capabilities. It is now so resilient that landing a successful missile strike against it feels like a real feat.

🛳️ Destroyer ROKS FD 8000

Country: South Korea

Tier: III

Role: ultra-modern multi-role destroyer

ROKS FD 8000 is one of the most advanced destroyer concepts developed in South Korea. It combines cutting-edge reconnaissance systems and digital technologies that make ship operation efficient and convenient. Its modern propulsion systems provide not only high reliability but also excellent seaworthiness. Special attention was paid to stealth during hull design, while its powerful armament allows it to quickly and effectively engage enemy targets.

Who is this destroyer for? Experienced captains will appreciate its long-range playstyle, while newcomers can learn valuable lessons by studying combat mechanics and the limited defensive systems. Ships that do not forgive mistakes teach their commanders to make fast and effective decisions.

🛳️ Aircraft Carrier USS Midway (CV-41)

Country: USA

Tier: III

Role: heavy strike aircraft carrier

USS Midway (CV-41) is the first heavy American aircraft carrier and the lead ship of the Midway class. Designed for dominance at sea and in the air, it is capable of sustaining continuous aircraft sorties, striking both naval and land targets at long range. It combines powerful offensive capability, high survivability, and the ability to support allied forces anywhere on the map.

If you’ve already played carriers like USS Nimitz (CVN-68) or USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), you’ll quickly understand how it works. For beginners: stay at a safe distance from enemies and avoid entering detection range.

And woe to any enemy ship caught alone at sea without support — it will be hit by such a storm of fire from above that it will feel as if not aircraft, but the heavens themselves have unleashed thunder and lightning. But that’s just poetic talk.

✈️ Attack Aircraft F-19 Hellcat

Country: USA

Tier: III

Role: strike aircraft focused on stealth technology

A prototype American multi-role strike aircraft featuring effective stealth technology. Designed for naval warfare operations, aerial reconnaissance, and engaging enemy aircraft.

✈️ Drone Thanatos

Country: USA

Tier: III

Role: advanced strike UAV

A cutting-edge American unmanned aerial vehicle designed to engage surface and underwater targets in coordination with manned aircraft. It features streamlined aerodynamics and a specialized weapons package, including nuclear strike capabilities.

✈️ Bomber S-T4

Country: Russia

Tier: III

Role: high-speed strategic bomber

A Soviet bomber with a “duck” aerodynamic layout, capable of carrying nuclear weapons. It is powered by four turbojet engines mounted in a single nacelle. Designed for delivering strategic strikes against surface targets.

Cannon XM2001 Crusader

Country: USA

Tier: III

Role: high-precision long-range artillery

A modernized US large-caliber artillery system equipped with high-explosive fragmentation shells. It features high accuracy and the ability to fire double shots per salvo at long-range surface targets.

Missile (ASM) LRHW Dark Eagle

Country: USA

Tier: III

Role: powerful hypersonic missile

A long-range hypersonic weapon designed to strike strategically important surface targets. It features a very high flight trajectory and reduced launch preparation time.

Missile (ASM) Fattah-1

Country: Iran

Tier: III

Role: medium-range ballistic missile

An Iranian medium-range ballistic missile with a reinforced body and high flight trajectory, designed for rapid-response strikes against surface targets.

Grenade Launcher FQF-2500 (240 mm)

Country: China

Tier: III

Role: rocket launcher with high-speed munitions

A Chinese artillery multiple-launch system with high-speed anti-submarine rocket capabilities. It deals area damage and is designed for dynamic naval combat at medium range.

Torpedo K731 White Shark

Country: South Korea

Tier: III

Role: torpedo with jam-resistant target guidance system

A heavy South Korean torpedo with an improved guidance system and manual launch mode. It ignores torpedo countermeasures and, when used correctly, can easily bypass enemy defenses.

The age of massive-caliber artillery rapidly gave way to a new force that would rise to the top of the food chain in naval warfare. The fate of giants such as the Yama…
