Hi. There aren’t that many fixes this time, which means our game is getting close to perfection.

We’ve finally added visually distinct versions of the automatons — wow! But if you don’t know who the automatons are, that means you haven’t played the DLC yet. This one’s only for the expansion.

I’ve picked the ones that I personally like the most.

As for the rest — the usual stuff: small tweaks, bug fixes, and so on.

Anyway, see for yourselves:

  • Fixed the display of the class portrait on the starting bonus panel (previously it always showed Persival the Versatile).

  • Fixed duplicate navigation icons on the starting bonuses panel in portable mode.

  • Fixed an issue where the reward in the Ferocious bear event was given twice when playing as Bjorn.

  • Reworked the unit placement system on the battlefield (to prevent cases where units overlapped each other).

  • Adjusted subtitle timing in several cutscenes.

  • Fixed an issue where the target selection arrow displayed incorrectly when playing with a gamepad.

  • Fixed an issue where effects on action points appeared dim.

  • Fixed an issue where the UI could disappear at the start of a battle.

  • Removed the “Hold to skip” text from Mortis’s event screens.

  • Fixed a softlock in the tutorial at the “finish off the enemies” step when using a gamepad.

  • Fixed the “Ask Lydia” option being unavailable in the “Mite's Bride” event.

  • Added unique battle visuals for each version of the automaton.

  • Fixed early appearance of tutorial hints in camp.

  • Fixed an issue where some enemies (e.g., the Thresher) skipped certain turns.

  • Fixed an issue where health outside of combat could drop to 0 without ending the run.

  • Fixed an issue where Bjorn’s final attack before transforming applied buffs from the wrong form.

  • Adjusted audio panning for enemies.

  • Added voiceovers for the “Mechanism” and “Control Pad” events in the dungeons.

  • Fixed glossary notes for Vanadis’s events.

  • Persival-Knight’s Vows no longer conflict with elite battles and bosses.

  • Fixed an issue where the post-battle Bear Den event triggered after every fight.

  • Fixed duplicate UI elements when receiving event rewards in portable mode.

  • Fixed an issue where it was impossible to claim an event reward if karma changed at the same time (gamepad).

  • Rebalanced character audio and music.

  • Added more variation to character sound effects.

Community26 Jun 2026A bundle with DecktamerOld familiar chthonic weirdness On the occasion of the sale, we’ve decided to relaunch our bundle with Decktamer. We all love deckbuilders, roguelikes, and awesome artwork, right? Decktamer is still a very original project with crazy — in a good, wild way — art. And they have a great demo you can try out yourself, without relying on someone else’s opinion. Today we’re finishing our journey across Midian, and not in any old blind alley, but in the majestic Sunny City, the capital of the elves. Calling it the capital of the elven state would me a misnomer, as the Sunny City is the elven state. (Naturally, you’ll ask: what is the Frontier, then? And I’ll make sure to talk about it later.) Sunny City: Big City Imagine Ancient…Community10 Mar 2026KOTCL Dev Diaries: Walking with Monsters, SummaryKnock, knock, travelers! While I’ve been keeping the diaries going, we’ve covered quite a distance across the expanses of Midian—traveling not only through space, but through time as well. Today we’ll have sort of a compilation of that journey. For some reason,I feel like looking back on it. Journey Through Time First we ran through the chronology of Midian, starting from the creation of the wo…
