Fellow Officers,

unexpected staff shortages at the border mean that your precinct must step in to secure two fully operational stations connected to the highway: Welcome to the Contraband Expansion, coming to Police Simulator: Patrol Officers on November 19, 2025!

This new expansion will add a completely new dimension to your duties – with tensions rising and smugglers growing bolder, every decision you make carries weight. It’s time to take control at Franklin Customs Border Protection. And today, we’re giving you a first look at what’s inside!

Welcome to Franklin Customs Border Protection!

The State of Franklin requires your assistance: Start your shift at the Border Precinct and assist the team, fully equipped and ready for duty. Whether it’s a quick check or a full cargo search under the scorching sun, no two shifts will ever feel the same.

Inspect documents and control the traffic with CCTV and spike strips at the Border Inspection Station – and always take a close look at all information, vehicles, and people involved. Be swift and efficient, we don't want the queues to become too long...

Papers, Please!

Verification isn't just for show, it's a necessity. A single mistake can let contraband slip through – or stop an innocent traveler in their tracks. Stay vigilant, officers!

Documents such as passports, visas, driver’s licenses, firearm licenses, and cargo declarations need to be checked. Do not just look out for expiration dates but also for deeper indicators such as forged entries, visa type mismatches, banned cargo, or re-entry violations.

Everything's good? You're good to go! But when suspicion arises, affected vehicles will be redirected to the Secondary Inspection Area where you must conduct additional checks by searching vehicle trunks, interiors, and engines for contraband.

A whole new set of tools!

Use sophisticated equipment like the inspection mirror, x-ray scanner, biometric kiosks, and a substance analyzer as part of your procedures. With the latest in inspection technology at your fingertips, every hidden secret stands a chance of exposure.

Inspections may reveal illegal items such as narcotics, weapons, counterfeit goods, undeclared cargo, or even stowaways hiding in trunks or undercarriages. During vehicle inspections, you might also discover missing or expired mandatory safety equipment inside the vehicles which can be reported and fined.

But work does not just happen outdoors, also indoors in the administrative building: Desk inspection is a crucial part of your job! Individuals can be questioned to verify their travel purpose, cargo information, or permit details.

New, dynamic situations

Expect dynamic situations such as individuals attempting escapes that result in foot or vehicle chases – escalating even further with the Highway Patrol Expansion. With the Contraband Expansion, you can expect more arrest scenarios and suspect resistance than ever before! And sometimes, you must even use a less-lethal shotgun to detain suspects safely.

The line between calm inspection and chaos can vanish in seconds. Be ready for anything.

A brand-new patrol car!

Take the wheel of the rugged Titan Police SUV – built for pursuit and control. No worries, we'll also provide you with beautiful new uniforms.

Watchtower Duty

Take yourself to new heights! At the watchtowers, you must observe the safety of the border fence from a whole-new perspective. From this vantage point, you don’t just watch the border – you protect it.

Look over the area and use your binoculars to spot and report potential trespassers. A fence seems to be have been destroyed? A repair must follow immediately!

More details are coming soon!

The Contraband Expansion will be available on November 19, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One at a price of 19.99€ / $19.99.

It will also be included in the Season Pass – so if you own it already, you receive it for free at no further cost!

More details about the Contraband Expansion will be shared in the coming weeks!
