Hello, operators!
We're excited to be part of WePlay Expo 2023 & Turn-Based Carnival 2023, and we've been hard at work on a new demo - bringing together new features and a host of changes in response to player feedback. So, without further ado, onto the new content!
Gameplay
- All operators' cards are now shown on-screen in combat. There's no need to switch between operators' decks!
- Operators now start the game with 3 cards, and draw up to 3 cards each turn.
New Operator - Mayhem

- Mayhem, an anarchic Guardian operator, has been added to the demo.
- Mayhem has one of the lowest HP pools in the game, but makes up for it with her powerful Exhilaration passive ability, enabling her to heal HP from Strikes whenever she's below 50% HP.
- Take Mayhem's HP below the threshold and keep the heat off your allies by making use of her unique Fulminate card, which forces enemies to attack her immediately.
- Then, use her powerful Nutcracker or Tornado Swing cards to heal herself back up whilst dealing damage to her enemies!
New Operator - Aleph

- Aleph, a sniper Specialist operator, has been added to the demo.
- Thanks to her Unerring Aim passive ability, Aleph's Aim stacks never expire - so zero-in on targets by building Aim stacks with her Eliminator Rifle.
- Once her Aim is true, destroy your enemies or heal your allies with her flexible Adaptive Shot.
- Double up on Aim stacks by switching to Sniper Stance, or shoot again by retrieving your expended Shots using Aleph's Eidetic Memory.
New Feature - Talents
- All operators now have a talent tree, accessible through the Crew Panel in the Hub.
- Talents can change your operators' signature cards and sometimes their roles - switch Typhon into a powerful defender, or build Renegade into a fire-spewing nightmare!
- Unlocking an operator's capstone talent row also provides that operator with a powerful second ability.
New Feature - Enemy & Event Revamp + Difficulties
- All the enemy encounters and events have been revamped to provide for more varied and interesting encounters.
- In addition, difficulty modes have been added for those wanting more of a challenge.
New Feature - Modes
- A new Exploration mode has been added to the game, which provides for unlimited Supply and relaxed deckbuilding limits!
- Draft mode has been folded into the Campaign as a new mode.
New Feature - Save Game
- Games are now automatically saved, and can be continued by using the Continue button in the Main Menu.
Known Issues
- JP localisation is still in progress and isn't available in this version.
We hope you enjoy these updates, and we'd very much appreciate any feedback - either complete the in-game survey from the Main Menu, or leave a comment here on the Steam forums!
