Hello Commander,

A hotfix has just landed, addressing issues you have been reporting. We’re actively monitoring your feedback and will continue working on additional fixes and improvements in the days ahead.

Asteroid / Waste Rock Issue

We’ve implemented a temporary workaround to address the most severe issues currently affecting the asteroid / waste rock collection. This is a band-aid solution to get this fix to you immediately and you will need to manually initiate the asteroid lander launch. We’re actively working on a permanent, more robust fix that will restore the intended functionality, but to not delay the patch this is a fix we could implement quickly with low risk.

Inspiring Architecture tech causing Game Freeze

This patch fixes the game freeze issue caused by the Inspiring Architecture tech. If you are playing on a save that have researched the Inspiring Architecture before this patch, you may unfortunately continue to have issues with your colonists due to them having been initialized in a broken state, to fully resolve this you need to either:

  • Start a new game,

  • Load a save from before researching Inspiring Architecture, or

  • Allow the broken colonists to naturally “expire.”

Thank you for your feedback and patience while we continue improving the experience.

Change Log:

  • Asteroids

    • Asteroid Lander no longer loads waste rock.

    • Asteroid Landers will now depart only after an explicit Liftoff order (unless its an Evacuation due to an asteroid expiring) and will no longer automatically return to the asteroid without user input.

    • Fixed known instances where the Asteroid Lander logic for auto-loading broke and was having difficulty calculating what to load.

    • Fixed an issue where an Asteroid Lander would sometimes confuse its destination and land where it departed from.
