We've been hard at work implementing all of the amazing feedback from our testers and we are proud to introduce this hyper-polished demo. We've fixed a plethora of bugs and added a whole bunch of QoL improvements to make the player experience even better. On top of some much needed balance changes, we've added an event system that is sure to keep gameplay fresh and interesting for even the most experienced wranglers.
Players can now encounter random events that add visual and gameplay variety to the farm!
On any given day you may encounter any of the following events:
Storm - Rain falls on the farm as lightning occasionally crashes down striking your animals! Any animal that is struck by lightning will glow, moving faster and it will be worth extra points and cash if lassoed. Mole Infestation - A mole infestation can make its way onto your farm, causing moles to randomly sprout up from the ground. You can lasso these extra critters for additional points and cash! Butterfly Migration - In this event, butterflies flutter across the screen, distracting predators and leading them away from your valuable livestock. Mud Patches - With your livestock constantly trampling through the fields, you may encounter some mud patches. These areas will slow down any animals inside them, making the animals easier to wrangle.
On every 5th day, players will now encounter a Challenge Round, which acts like big bad boss fight. These rounds introduce unique and difficult challenges to test your lassoing skills and strength of your boons. Challenge Rounds each come with brand new music tracks and mechanics, bringing their own distinct style and feel:
Nightfall - Wrangling at night adds an extra layer of difficulty with increased predator spawn rates. Terrible Tumbleweeds - Tumbleweeds bounce across the screen breaking any in-progress lasso on contact Killer Bees - A swarm of killer bees wreaks havoc on your livestock, stinging animals and removing them from play Troublesome Tailwind - A strong wind spells trouble for any farmer, causing all animals to move with extra speed Cruel Cacti - These prickly obstacles cant be contained in any lassoes, you'll have to get creative to avoid them while capturing your livestock
The extra difficulty spike from challenge rounds will push you to your limits, but not without reward. After completing a challenge round, you will get to choose between 3 powerful rewards, leading to even more game-breaking builds and possibilities.
