Edit: We are experiencing some delays with launching Whispers from the Star on iOS, and this post has been edited to reflect that.

Today’s a big day!

Whispers from the Star will launch soon on iOS, and we’re rolling out one of our biggest backend updates to support it, including cross-platform data sync, video call resume support, video chat history logs, and major stability improvements across devices.

Here’s everything new:

iOS Support + Cross-Platform Progress*

*Note: At the time of this update, iOS is experiencing launch delays. The following updates will be made once the app rolls out on iOS.

• Full server support for the iOS version

• Your game progress now syncs between iOS and Steam: You can start on PC, continue on mobile, and swap freely

Video calls can be paused and resumed

• You can now close the app mid-video call with Stella

• When you come back, choose to continue where you left off or restart the call

Added Video Call History Log Feature

• New video call history log lets you review past Stella video call sessions through a dedicated history log interface

Stability & Compatibility Improvements

• Better handling across multiple video connection scenarios

• Enhanced network compatibility – Better support for different network environments to reduce connection failures and instability

• Improved compatibility with many integrated GPUs and certain chipset versions

Bug Fixes

Subtitle & Translation Fixes

• Fixed several issues affecting subtitle accuracy and consistency for a smoother experience

Crash Fixes

• Addressed rare crash cases that happened under specific conditions to improve overall stability

Thank you all for the feedback, stress tests, crash logs, and support. We can’t wait for you to experience the game on iOS and the improvements on PC.
