The StarRupture’s Co-op Round of Playtest will put you and your friends firmly into the treacherous world of Arcadia-7.
As we want to check the co-operation aspect of our upcoming Early Access launch, the playtest will feature the ability to try the core elements of StarRupture, ranging from base building and exploration to survival and combat, in online co-op in a group of up to 4 players. If you prefer the lone wolf experience - no worries, the single-player option will still be available.
Running from December 3rd to December 8th, this co-op playtest offers the first exciting taste of StarRupture gameplay, and you can now apply for access on our Steam page over here. Selected players will receive a Steam confirmation that they are eligible to play at the playtest kickoff on December 3rd.

What You Need to Know
Welcome to StarRupture, an intense first-person open-world survival game where you’ll build sprawling industrial bases, harvest valuable resources, and battle alien monsters—solo or in a group of up to 4 players. The planet is gorgeous, dangerous, and constantly evolving. Exploration, combat, and creativity are your keys to survival.
🧪 Co-op Playtest Incoming!
The closed playtest will run from December 3rd to December 8th. To join, just head over to our Steam page and click “Request Access.” It’s that easy—and yes, it’s 100% free!
🎮 What’s in the Playtest?
The StarRupture Co-op Playtest features an early slice of the game, featuring the game's core mechanics, a guided tutorial (in single-player mode), and a free play option with map restrictions.
Some gameplay mechanics will be locked out for now (and left for you to fully explore when the game launches in Early Access on January 6th, 2026), so don’t worry about the spoilers; the game will have plenty of fresh and new elements once it launches!
The Co-op Playtest will feature a more polished experience than the July’s Single-Player Round Playtest build: we’ve tweaked the performance, ironed out a lot of gameplay mechanics, and we’ve squished a lot of bugs (yes, we’ve killed tons of Vermin during our internal playtesting), and yes: the autosave will be working now!
Your feedback on the playtest will be really helpful for us to deliver you the best possible experience on the Early Access launch.
There is no time limit on your session—play as much (or as little) as you want! However, this event will be limited only to the playtest period, starting on December 3rd and ending on December 8th.

Players will be selected randomly by Steam and will receive email notifications when they’re eligible to play. No Steam key required—access is added to your account for the length of the playtest event.

🧠 The Big Goal
This playtest focuses on the online aspect of the game: play online with your local buddies or friends from faraway countries. No worries, though. You still will be able to experience it in single-player, just remember that your saves won’t be compatible with saves from the previous playtest, nor will they be compatible with the Early Access build.
This test helps us with everything in the early game: bug tracking, game balance, performance, feedback, and - most importantly - how the experience feels. You're helping shape StarRupture before its Early Access launch on January 6th, 2026.
