I have been very busy working on the newest update for Arcadian Days which will bring some major overhaul to the gameplay and performance, most as part of your feedback, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! Hopefully the update should be ready in the next week or two!
This is something I wanted to have much earlier in Arcadian Days and now we have an initial system that will serve hints for players. It is not a traditional quest log as Arcadian Days is still a game that encourages curiosity and exploration, but this new system should make it more engaging to go about the world.
Help Dada fix some broken structures, grow the forest in Ult and Find the Dacian relics, and some flowers to grow a flower garden!
Fast travel will be improved and more accessible. You will still need to build the Popases in order to unlock a fast travel destination.
To add further depth to the gameplay, you will now have to gather 'Alpin Branches' to build Popases and other constructions. They grow in very specific places throughout the environments so keep an eye out for them!
You can now visit the tutorial area, significantly expanded and home to its own set of curiosities and activities.
The tutorial area has also been heavily modified to better onboard players.
Arcadian Days will use an auto-save system from the next update, while also giving you the option to save when exiting the game.
Many bugs should now be fixed particularly regarding quests not progressing properly and save game issues.
Arcadian Days has been updated to Unreal Engine 5.7, expect a significant performance improvement.
Most items in the inventory now have placeholder images.
Dialogue tree should now be a bit more intuitive and easy.
Improved vegetation and more vibrance to the world.
Nighttime has been removed, to be replaced soon by Miela's Dreams.
