April Update (Karma System Expansion, Costume Retexture, etc.)

Hello Executioners.

While we wait for Season 1 and the Arena to open, an update has been completed with a variety of changes!

End of streaming mode support

Streaming mode support will end.
(What is streaming mode? When streaming mode is on, sensitive content such as CG with nudity will not be displayed.)

• Future content, as well as existing content, will no longer support streaming mode.
• Saves that already had streaming mode turned on will remain in that state until the next NG+ is started.
• The streaming mode selection option will no longer appear when starting a new game or starting NG+, and will default to OFF.
• Items that change streaming mode will be removed from the 'Other' category.

Karma System Expansion

The Karma system, which has been in its initial stages since its introduction, has been updated!

Here are more detailed information about the Karma system.

• The initial Karma value is '0', and it is reset when you start NG+.
• You can check the current Karma value in the gameplay statistics. (Examine the tombstone in the center of the graveyard.)
• Karma increases by 10 when you kill an NPC. (Dungeon/Mini-dungeon/Raid bosses are not NPCs.)
• If the Karma value is 21 or higher, NPCs will reject gifts.
• If the Karma value is 41 or higher, fellows will reject recruitment. (Excluding DLC ​​fellows)
• If you give the Harp of Return to Lily, your Karma will decrease by 30.
• You can buy Scissors of Karma at Helen's Gold bar Shop.
  When you use Scissors of Karma, your Karma will decrease by 10.
• You can purchase Golden Scissors of Karma at Miss Jang's Shop.
• Karma cannot decrease below 0.

2nd NPC Visual Upgrade

The second NPC visual upgrade has been completed.

The beneficiaries of this visual upgrade are Poor Victim Mary, Weapon Dealer Anna, and Carrot-loving Banny. (The killable NPCs have also received new battle portraits.)

Costume Retexture Feature Trial Introduced

There are currently 72 unique costumes in total in the game.

However, some of them have been out for a long time and have low usage rates and poor quality.

While new costumes will continue to be released in the future, I plan to introduce costume retextures on a trial basis in order to preserve the value of existing costumes and expand the range of choices.

Costumes that support the retexture feature can be checked through a new marker in the Costume Encyclopedia.

• ♠ (Yellow spade marker): Retexture Available

Details on the Retexture feature are as follows:

• When using a costume, you can choose between the normal, retextured, and R18 versions, and a preview is provided.
• To change to the retextured and R18 versions, 3 gold bars are required only once.
• Retextures unlocked in the corresponding save file are permanently available.

I plan to gradually expand the costumes that support retexturing, and the unlock conditions may change in the future.

Ms. Jang's Shop Items Update

The mysterious girl, Ms. Jang's shop has been updated.

New items:

• Golden Scissors of Karma
  Magic scissors that can cut karma. You can manipulate karma at will. Unlimited use
• Fake Death Certificate
  Resets death count statistics and allows you to challenge Hardmode again.

Bug Fixes and Other Changes

Added a new marker to the Costume Encyclopedia - ♠ (Yellow Spade Marker): Retexture Available

Fixed an issue where the correct animation would not play when Lily disappeared.

Fixed an issue where items could remain after giving Lily the Harp of Return.

The next major update will feature a new season and Arena content along with Patch 2.1.
