Additionally, I wanted to come on here to answer a couple questions about the game.
Demo?
I want to leave the demo up for now, but right now it’s a little bit behind in the standards and polish compared to the full game, because the full game has been my primary focus recently. I would like to update it to match up more to the full game when I have the time, but please bear that in mind when playing the demo.
Controller Support?
Astronook has full controller support, and I’m finally happy with where the controller support is now in the game. I’ve added a new mechanic (that can be toggled off or tweaked in the settings) which sticks the cursor to stars so it’s a lot easier to map out constellations with gamepad now. Furthermore, gamepad cursor move speed (seperate to look speed), scroll speed, and controller icons are all changeable in the settings.
Steam Deck?
As a Steam Deck player myself, this is important to me. I’ve been testing the game on Steam Deck throughout development and the game is fully playable on Steam Deck. And the other day the game was reviewed as Playable but not fully Steam Deck Verified, for the one reason that some in-game text is small and may be difficult to read.
Mac Release?
Last week I added a Mac build for the game so I will be releasing on Mac as well as Windows.
Localisation?
This all depends on how well the game does!
Cloud Saving?
Right now there's no cloud saving, but I would like to add it in a future update.
Difficulty?
For anyone wondering about the difficulty of the puzzles, there are adjustable difficulty settings for the constellation puzzles, with the aim of being able to be tuned to your preferred difficulty via a multi-stage hint system.
