Captain Hardcore launches in Early Access on January 22nd 2026

Hey everyone, after so long, I can now officially confirm that Captain Hardcore launches on Steam in Early Access on January 22nd, 2026.

There is a brand-new, spicy trailer on the Steam page and on my Captain Hardcore Discord server for you to check out!

Hitting this milestone feels surreal. It finally feels like everything is coming together. Between today and early access release, I’ll be entirely focused on polishing, fixing, and refining - taking everything that’s here and pushing it to the highest possible quality for Early Access.

Why Early Access?

I know this question will come up a lot. Well, the sex sandbox portion of the game is complete and polished. Putting the game in early access allows me to gather even more player feedback while continuing to refine and expand these systems.

I plan to expand the game during Early Access with additional environments, clothing, hairstyles, and further story content.There are many more things to come. I will see you in the space soon. New Story Mission: The Broken Core

This update introduces the first primary narrative mission in the game:Mission 01: The Broken CoreWithout spoiling anything, this mission:

• Pushes the story forward in a more focused way

• Introduces your crew members, the ship's AI, and the antagonist

• Sets up what comes next narratively

Completing The Broken Core transitions the game into a new phase, where the ship, SASI, and sandbox systems become part of an ongoing narrative framework rather than disconnected content. This is the foundation on which the rest of the story will be built.Expanded Sandbox & Simulation Content

Alongside the story mission, this build includes a large sandbox expansion featuring: 7 new environments, over 130 new clothing items, 11 hairstyles, 6 voice profiles, and new systems to explore.
After completing The Broken Core, SASI will direct you to continue your research while she works on decrypting recovered coordinates. The next game update will continue the story from this point.

Arena Trial Mode

Accessible on Planet X, Arena Trial Mode is a combat-focused sandbox where you face procedurally escalating enemy waves in an endless trial of survival. Enemies, pressure, and pacing intensify over time, creating a high-skill combat experience. This mode is an early implementation and will receive additional features, tuning, and content during Early Access.

• First story mission - Meet the seductive space queen Nova Celestia and rescue Hinako from the Broken Core

• Button/dialogue prompt system for story scenes

• Broken Core completion now unlocks the Cyber Masturbatorium

• Suckbot toy added to the Captain’s Quarters

• A Restraint Machine was added to the ship once it was unlocked

• Ultimate Pleasure Device / Orgasm Gun - new 3D model & effects

• Jizz gun - new model, now usable as a toy with jizz/thrust mode toggle

Ship & World Details

• Admin bot roams the ship performing admin duties (Voiced by AntiZero)

• Water and steam were added to the ship’s bath

• The shower is now fully functional

• The reset save button has been added to the settings menu

• Object inspection system for desktop mode (used by logs)

• In-game camera button opens the screenshots folder

• Main menu redesign, including a Join Discord button

• Help screen updated with clearer controls and a quick-start guide (with videos)

• Vive Tracker instructions improved, including video guidance

• Credits screen added

Improvements

• Added different enemy types to the Broken Core final fight

• Nipples flatten slightly under clothing to reduce clipping and improve shape

• Improved collision accuracy for objects on the bridge

• Enabled pak chunking to split the game into separate parts

Fixes

• Fixed Fapbot spawning in Broken Core scenes

• Fixed VR resolution scale freeze issue by capping max scale at 1.5
