Welcome back to Story Spotlight Friday, our weekly community series where we highlight some of our favorite stories created by Write Warz players.
Every Write Warz game builds a story one sentence at a time. Players write, vote, and slowly watch the most unpredictable version of the story become canon.
This week, we selected two new community stories that stood out for very different reasons: one for pure sci-fi absurdity, and one for a clean fantasy-comedy twist.
Why we picked it: We wanted to show off not only the new PNG story saves, but one of our own in-house tests that can get a little...dark at times. (Ben was not harmed in the creation of this story.)
Story Save and Socials: Instead of a boring text file, you can now download an image of your story at the end of a game! This image displays the story and the players who contributed to it. + New image download option at the end of every game.
+ Socials buttons that provide easy access to your favorite social site.
Networking Improvements:
+ Changes to the backend systems of the mobile version that improve connection and latency.
+ Fixed a lobby joining bug dealing with old updates
Fixes:
+ Fixed a visual bug where a popup was displayed early under the join panel
+ Fixed a visual bug with the Mobile Compatability section in the Game Settings page.
+ Fixed a bug that prevented the Quit to Menu button from working.
Thanks to everyone creating stories, voting on the best lines, and helping turn each match into something unpredictable.
We’ll keep selecting community stories for future Story Spotlight Friday posts, so keep playing, keep writing, and your story could be featured next.
