Hello Ship Destroyers!

As your shipbreaking operation grows, moving materials by hand quickly becomes inefficient. Vehicles provide a way to transport resources, equipment and heavy cargo across the scrapyard. Each vehicle serves a specific purpose and becomes increasingly important as ships grow larger and contracts become more demanding. Over time, players can expand their fleet, unlock additional garage space and build a fully equipped industrial transport operation.

Pickup Truck

The pickup truck is the first cargo vehicle available to the player and acts as a versatile workhorse for everyday scrapyard operations.

Its cargo bed can be loaded manually with resources. It is ideal for quick and small transport – e.g. materials between dismantling zone and warehouse, quick sale in the scrap market or delivering side quests.

The pickup is fast, easy to maneuver, making it a practical solution during the early stages of the game.

Main use

  • Quick travel around the map
  • Small cargo capacity for early game progress and smaller deliveries

Limitations

  • Very limited cargo capacity.
  • Cannot transport heavy ship elements.

Semi Truck

The semi truck is the backbone of industrial-scale logistics in SGS3.

Unlike the pickup, the truck is designed primarily as a towing vehicle. Its purpose is to operate trailers that allow players to move large quantities of cargo or extremely heavy ship components.

As the scrapyard expands and larger vessels arrive, the semi truck becomes a critical tool for efficient resource management.

Main uses

  • Towing trailers
  • Working alongside crane and employees
  • Moving bulk cargo across the scrapyard

Limitations

  • Requires a trailer to be useful
  • One semi truck operates one trailer at the time
  • Larger turning radius, slower than the pickup
  • Has to be purchased

Obtaining a semi truck marks the transition from a small scrapyard operator to a professional shipbreaking company.

Dump Trailer

The dump trailer is designed for transporting large amounts of resources.

During dismantling a ship, most recovered materials become resources stored in crates. The dump trailer allows these crates to be moved in much larger quantities than the pickup.

Main uses

  • Bulk transport of resources.
  • Reducing the number of transport runs.

The dump trailer focuses on efficiency and profit by maximizing how much material can be transported in a single trip.

Flatbed Trailer

The flatbed trailer is designed for oversized and heavy cargo.

Many ship elements in SGS3 are too large to fit inside standard cargo containers or resource storage systems. Engines, generators, large machinery and hull parts require specialized transportation.

The flatbed serves as the primary destination for cargo loaded by the crane.

Main uses

  • Transporting heavy equipment.
  • Supporting crane operations.

The flatbed becomes valuable early in the game as the only way to transport heavy cargo out of a graveyard.

Garage Progression

The Garage serves as the central hub for all owned vehicles.

Players begin with a limited amount of parking space. Garage upgrades increase the number of available vehicle slots, allowing the scrapyard to support larger fleets and more specialized transport setups.

Each Garage upgrade unlocks an additional vehicle slot.

Benefits of a larger Garage

  • Own multiple trucks.
  • Keep specialized trailers ready for different tasks.
  • Reduce downtime when switching between logistics operations.
  • Build a professional shipbreaking fleet.

The Garage gradually evolves from a simple parking area into a fully developed logistics center capable of supporting every stage of the shipbreaking process.

Vehicle Store

All vehicles are purchased through the vehicle store.

As the player's company grows, new vehicles and trailers become available for purchase, allowing the scrapyard to handle increasingly complex logistics operations.

Available purchases

  • Semi Trucks
  • Dump Trailers
  • Flatbed Trailers

Player’s fleet can grow to as much as 4 trucks and 4 trailers at once.

The Vehicle Store serves as the primary way of expanding and upgrading the player's transport capabilities.

Vehicle Customization

Every owned vehicle can be customized in the building next to vehicle store.

Players can personalize their fleet using different paint colors (we want to expand this feature as much as possible in the future). While these modifications do not affect gameplay, they allow players to create a unique scrapyard fleet and customize their favorite vehicles.
