"Matchmaker Bay" Version Coming Soon – A Look Back at All Updates Since Launch

Hey everyone! This is the team behind Matchmaking Inc.—Wave Games (the developers) and our pals at LightningGames (the publishers). Today marks three months since the game's launch, and we’ve been working non-stop on optimizations and new content. Soon, you’ll get to experience some fresh updates!

In case you missed what we’ve been up to, here’s a recap of all 27 updates since release:

🆕 New Additions
🔹 Added full voice acting for the female protagonist, plus tons of new voice lines for main quests, side quests, and random events.
🔹 Introduced a shop ranking system and expanded the achievement system.
🔹 Added multiple new commission quests.
🔹 New helper character with her own story, side quests, and skills.
🔹 Full controller support + Mac & Linux beta versions (with cross-platform cloud saves!).
🔹 New gear and equipment.
🔹 Added a mentorship UI and card recommendation feature for smoother gameplay.
🔹 Launched the "Magpie Bridge Matchmaking Festival" event.

✨ Optimizations
⭐ Revamped the main quest with adjusted story flow and comic-style cutscenes.
⭐ Improved the Wishing Pool mechanic—now with a 50-pull pity system and higher drop rates for rare rewards.
⭐ Rebalanced card effects and gameplay.
⭐ Tweaked mini-game skill progression for better pacing.
⭐ Polished dialogue in main/side quests, reducing repetitive choices.
⭐ Upgraded the fishing system—adult fish now sell for more, and bait is more effective.

🐞 Fixes
✅ Fixed visual bugs in Matchmaker Bay, broken hotkeys in persuasion minigames, and softlocks when talking to NPCs (like the Financial Center receptionist).
✅ Fixed mismatched voice/text in cutscenes, quest triggers failing, and incorrect map markers.
✅ Corrected gear descriptions, bugged card effects, erroneous UI alerts, and other minor issues.
✅ Resolved save/load crashes, notification glitches, mini-game hotkey conflicts, and character interaction freezes.
✅ Fixed quest refresh bugs, typos, animation clipping, and misplaced NPCs.
✅ Ensured backward compatibility for old saves and cross-version quests.

We’ve delivered on most of our post-launch promises, and now we’re deep into prepping the Matchmaker Bay expansion while also working on Steam Deck compatibility—localization is coming along nicely, so stay tuned!
