Thanks to all the demo players - lots of improvements based on your feedback!
Updates in the last two weeks:
- Leaderboards have been added to the demo! How deep can your demo Warrior survive?
- Improved the Lodge UI, showing the then-available heroes and their modifiers & abilities
- Cute little oozitos have appeared in the forest, but watch out for Blue Betty
- New "Gear & Glory" hero popup in town to inspect hero details (gear, modifiers, abilities, dps figures, etc)
- Boots have gained a specific flee success chance, and your current flee chance is shown while attempting to flee
- Just-fallen heroes remain viewable in town until you recruit a new one - how many mods did you end up with anyway?
- Add new Modifier - Can Opener - so you can open a can of ... spinach... on your enemies (+ crit chance)
- Add new Foepower Trait - Variant Path - enabling rerolling of level up choices
- New Hero helper panel in town, reminding level 1 heroes of their ability to train with arena champion before starting out
- Giga Unlocks teaser button added, full version of game includes advanced uses for Foepower here, including "Legendary Start"
- Reworked the Foepower Traits UI, and added Noble Connections (improves noble bribing in the lodge)
- Balance pass at FP Traits costs and effectiveness
- Added display modes (Windowed / Windowed Max. / Fullscreen), and default to Fullscreen on 1080p or lower res monitors
- New encounter - The Coiled Spring - we'll see if your heroes will drink from it!
- New Barrier UI on the character, seen occasionally by the warrior after encountering Gavelin, or more often on mages!
- Buff Learner modifier & Expedited Insight trait to also grant a chance for multi-rank level ups
- Round pause UI is more compact, so you can pause to leisurely review your gear, hover un-familiar mobs' abilities, etc
- Arena damage dampening now reduces in effect over time, so if you have a perfectly matched opponent, the match will no longer be so lengthy
- Many other art cleanups including refreshed youthful orc, skeleton, & hungry caterpillar mobs
- UI updates, including new dialog UI and further polish of keyboard/controller nav
These changes are all live now in version 0.8.30. Enjoy!
