Progress Update 2

<Note these changes will come in a Major update, this is just what will be in soon>

The new player controller is complete, works much better, and offers many more systems and minor features. Along with this significant change, the crafting system has been overhauled and split up per location. Each area will have some version of a crafting machine tailored to the area. The medical area for example will have a dedicated crafting machine for antidotes and other medical products.

To address some balance issues with Uninfected vs Infected I have created several new systems that make playing as each fun but not one-sided. The main gameplay loop was updated slightly to, you will no longer need to just escape, instead, you must destroy all infected areas via a new system that allows you to create an airborne antivirus which needs to be created and administered via air system. This will push players to explore and engage with the main AI creature which functions similarly to Nemesis from Resident Evil games.

There are a ton more new features and systems, but I will go over those when the next game update is ready. I have not worked out if I will do the update in pieces or just once all systems are locked in. Either way, the price of the game will increase per update to reflect the amount of content currently available. Over the scale is not huge so the price will remain low in general.

Thanks again for all the support.

Community8 Jun 2025Final ReleaseFinal Version Release Releasing the final version (Features/Gameplay) today. Based on the wishlist numbers and general hype What Lurks Inside did not quite reach the audience I hoped for. As a result, I won't be building on the current systems nor will I be changing the price. The price reflects the amount of content it currently has which while less than I wanted, still fully complete. Given t…Major update27 Apr 2025Early Access - V3.0Exciting news: I decided to release V3.0 now and remain in early access for a bit longer. This version is a complete upgrade from the original version in every area. The initial plan was to just keep polishing and do a final release, but I decided to give people a bit more time to check out the game and hopefully attract some more players. If popularity increases, I will expand the game a bit m…Community27 Dec 2024Progress Update 1While I continue to develop the game, add new systems, and polish existing ones I wanted to keep the status transparent. These smaller progress updates are just that. Game design can be time-consuming, and I don't want it to seem like nothing is being completed. With that said here is a quick update. Progress is moving along well, however I did find a massive bug with the new player controller.…
