Hello pilots!
It is currently 4am here at home base and we are happy to officially launch the Steam Next Fest demo for Nullstar: Solus, our take on the precision platformer!
Thank you to all those who got in early and have been racing against the clock to collect the fragments of the Nullstar. As previously mentioned this demo features 20 levels from the main game (all of world 1 and 5 mastery levels to really test your metal).
For those coming from the playtest the big things to note are:
A reworked tutorial, better explaining the air-brake system and the importance of why managing your thrusters and air paths are key.
Level structure balancing, we have tweaked when some levels take place to make on-boarding easier.
Level balancing, we have made some levels easier, some harder and added some curveballs.
SFX and VFX updates.
The demo will run from October 13th to 20th and is a showcase of the team’s incredible hard work as well as the support, you and fellow pilots, have provided. We already have an active discord (which you can click here to join) that have been sharing times and participating in our community competitions. We will be running another competition starting on the 14th of October (AEDT), more details available via our discord.
Thank you to all those who came by over PAX Australia weekend, it was fantastic to meet alot of you and talk about the game and all the excitement involved! We are now in Sydney for SXSW Sydney so if you are attending please come say hi and look out for updates on socials and discord.
Overall it's been a very exciting few weeks since the last update and it's even more exciting to see the road ahead as we look towards launch. If you haven't already please consider wishlisting the game and we look forward to sharing launch information with you very soon!
Safe travels pilots!
