VacuuBot: Home Cleaning Simulator - Demo 0.4.2

Hello again! 👋

It's been a hot minute but we're back with another demo update for you to feast on. In the last few months we've been focusing on wrapping up the core game and slowly shifting our focus onto creating content and the rest of the game!

‼️This update is the first step on our roadmap for content creation and it will introduce 3 new playable levels to our demo.

Demo Patch Notes 0.4.2

New Content

• Added level 4 to the demo

• Added level 5 to the demo

• Added level 6 to the demo

• Added special in-world credits board to the main menu

• Added thank you message to main menu when all level are complete

New Features

• Added low-power Zen mode for the robot

  • Flick on this zen mode and the fun will never stop! Now when you run out of power you'll get get really slow instead of the level ending

• Added Robot speed options

  • Game too fast? It's time to slow down and smell the oak! Now you can control VacuuBot's speed from the Zen menu too

• Added heatmap options into the accessibility menu

• Added reset to defaults in options

General Improvements

• Improved stability of the cleaning system

• Improved settings save system and made it more reliable

• Improved the Zen modes menu to be more prominent in the level select screen

• Added new slides and additional information to the tutorial

• Added more pips to the options to support players with lots of resolutions!

• Changed default window mode to Windowed Fullscreen

• Changed the visuals of toggles in the options menu

• Changed fade transitions when moving between levels and the main menu

• Added a new mouse cursor to the game!

Bug Fixes

• Fixed auto-charge breaking when Zen mode was on

• Fixed Zen modes not being highlighted properly when hovered

• Fixed levels not being able to reach 100% clean un-blocking full progression

• Fixed low-chance crashes in tutorial that occurred when tabbing in/out

• Fixed game not respecting window modes and resolutions from options

• Fixed an issue where user could give input behind popups in options and other screens

• Fixed bug in tutorial where pushing trash outside of the gameplay area would softlock the game

• Fixed an issue where cleaning area on the UI would report incorrectly to end of level scores

• Fixed an issue wehre changing the suction mode of the robot would break the user's ability to toggle it

• Fixed issues with left/right/Q/E input on level select

• Fixed buttons not reaction to user input in the bootflow
