Today, March 10th 2025, Assault On Proxima is entering Full Release on Steam after 1.5 years in Early Access!
In the one and a bit years that AoP has been on Steam Delta Video Games has been very pleased to share the game with our players. Now it's time for Assault On Proxima to enter a new phase!
Between the initial Early Access Release and Version 1.0 Full Release on Steam we've made some improvements to the game:
- A new Checkpoint System has been added for single player and multiplayer campaign. Player progression through each level has been improved, so no starting again from the beginning. New team mates joining your game will spawn with you!
- We added the Class Selection Info Screens that tell you more about your chosen class.
- We've made improvements to player Shield Visual FX, including adding the Shield Damage UI indicator.
- Lots of bug fixes and improvements to general systems. The game's mostly bug free!
Assault On Proxima in Full Release in March 2025 is an over all improved game to our initial Early Access version!
I'm Dyoto Orion, the Lead Developer at Delta Video Games, and I want to be 100% honest with our players about the development cycle and future of Assault On Proxima.
When we released AoP into Steam Early Access in May 2023 my team and I had a lot of ambitions and goals for Assault On Proxima, including adding many more features and an additional 5 gameplay levels to add an Act 2 to the game. I'm sorry to say that Delta Video Games, over the last 1.5 years, was not able to realize those goals. That's not due to lack of trying, or effort, but just because of minimal resources and budget.
In August 2023, Delta Video Games development focus shifted to our forthcoming fantasy RPG: Mythrealm. Because of that we weren't able to devote as much time to developing AoP. After some deliberation we decided to move Assault On Proxima to full release as it is, so that our team can focus on our next game.
