Thanks to all the demo players during Next Fest! Foepower has gone from an unknown new game to over 1,200 hours played in the demo!
Progress has continued as we march towards the full game release next week. Launch is on Thursday, March 13 at 2 PM Pacific Time US.
Updates continued through Next Fest, latest version gets:
- Added Eldrin the ... Wise? You'll have to find him and decide for yourself!
- Added champion-type mobs curashell and cordyceptor, spicing up the non-boss waves!
- Added new boss encounter for Volkin in the deep
- Added new wandering monster encounter, the Wandering Mino
- Added new followers of the Kin Seeker, the corrupted ooze woks
- Added Descension, for use when Ascension doesn't quite fit your build plan
- Combat now pauses when displaying the new UI for unlocked abilities, modifiers, and features
- Added footer display of deepest wave proven for current character, their class, and overall - so you know when to flee to lock-in a new high!
- Fleeing is now guaranteed in Explore (while learning the game), and when fleeing immediately before a Boss room (reduces bad-luck deaths)
- When starting a brand new playthrough, you must have found 50 Foepower or invested in Foepowered Endurance to find the mountain entrance
- Balance adjustments, notably reducing mob HP a few percent, and tightening the highly variable difficulty of foe heroes
- Game engine update to Godot 4.4 with bunches of upgrades on the game dev side as well as game performance improvements
Preparations in place for full game launch:
- Added 3 more Steam achievements available to earn, now up to 31
