Moving to Free: GoblinChess is becoming free for everyone May the 4th

May the 4th, 2026, GoblinChess will be 100% free to play. Currently, finding an opponent with an ELO rating close to your own can be a challenge. We believe that by opening the gates to everyone, we can grow the player base and ensure faster, fairer matchmaking for all.

To our existing players: thank you for your support so far. We can't wait to see the community grow.
