Terminal Overhaul + Wide Display Layout

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Big batch of terminal and display improvements.

Wider Layout Support

The game layout now stretches up to 1920px on wider monitors instead of capping at 1600px. The three-column grid uses flexible proportions instead of fixed percentages, so each panel scales with your window. Ultrawide setups get a dedicated breakpoint at 1800px+ that rebalances the columns.

If you play on a 1440p or 4K display, the terminal and upgrade panels should feel much less cramped.

Terminal Syntax Highlighting

Commands you type in the terminal now have basic syntax highlighting. The command name (like cd, help, ls) stays bold in your protocol's accent color. Arguments (file paths, names) render in a lighter tone. The prompt character is dimmed. Unrecognized commands show slightly faded so you can tell at a glance something was mistyped.

Works with all three protocol themes.

Tag Colorization

System messages in the terminal log now have color-coded tags. shows in cyan, in red, in amber, in green, in olive. Makes it much easier to scan the log for important messages.

Clickable File Browser

When you run ls or find, the results are now clickable. Directories show in your protocol accent color. Click a file to auto-fill cat <filename> in the input. Click a directory to auto-fill cd <dirname>. Saves a lot of typing when exploring the filesystem.

Ghost Autocomplete

As you type a command, a dim suggestion appears showing the closest matching command. It previews what Tab would complete to, so you can see what's available without pressing anything.

Scroll-to-Bottom Indicator

If you scroll up in the terminal to re-read something, the terminal no longer yanks you to the bottom when new messages arrive. Instead, a small button appears to let you jump back down when you're ready.

Timestamp Toggle

Type timestamps to hide or show the timestamps on terminal messages. Cleans up the view if you don't need them. Setting persists across sessions.

Bigger Log Buffer

Terminal history now holds 150 lines instead of 50. Running help no longer pushes half your history out of view.

Value Highlighting

FLOPS amounts and other values in system messages now have a subtle glow to make them stand out from labels.

Thanks to willow for the display and terminal feedback that kicked off these changes.
