Perks, Character and Company Development

I want to introduce a new feature in the game — Perks. This is a large and deep system that directly affects your gameplay. Perks allow you to gain specific bonuses and make progression easier, but in return you will have to make difficult and often ambiguous choices.

Starting Character Profile

Before starting a new game, you will need to answer a series of questions about your character — from early childhood to adulthood.

The questions are divided into life stages:

• early childhood

• childhood

• school years

• university years

• adulthood

Your answers shape your starting attributes and initial perks. The choices you make directly affect how you begin your business, which opportunities are available at the start, and which direction your company will develop.

Perks

The game features separate level groups, each with its own set of perks. These groups are divided into:

• Management

• Economy and Infrastructure

• Production and Technology

• Market and Audience

• Influence and Domination

Each group progresses independently. To unlock new perks, you must increase the level of the corresponding group. Levels are increased by performing actions related to that area.

For example, to develop Production and Technology, you will need to conduct research, invest in R&D, sign contracts with factories, and improve production processes.

Choice and Consequences

After reaching a new level, you will be able to choose one of two perks. Make your choice carefully — perks cannot be changed or rolled back.

Perks push you toward a specific development strategy. Depending on your decisions, each playthrough can differ significantly from the previous one.

System Depth

In total, 80 unique perks are available in the game. Many of them do not have a clearly “best” option and instead open up different paths for company development. Your decisions directly affect gameplay, economics, management, and your position in the market.
