Devlog: what's growing

Hello everyone!

I have just remembered that people can make devlog updates on Steam, so here I am! A lot of things were done since the launch of the page, but the most important ones are the progression system, idle mode, and new field beauty calculation.

Field beauty calculation

My favorite decision of the game so far. The inspiration came from playtesting the game among friends and them commenting on some points that made me thinking how could I make the field beauty calculation clearer and more rewarding. I hope compression doesn't kill it entirely:

Progression system

On levelling up player will be able to unlock a lot of things: flowers, decorations, various perks and features. Many of those are not implemented yet, but the system itself works! And the plan is that the progress tree will contain at least 40 elements.

Idle mode

The game now can play without you making any actions! You set the rules, sit back and relax watching how the character does all the work day by day. You'll need to come back occasionally and plant the flowers to blossom in specific times and patterns, so that you can get a higher score and level up.

Playtests

I am running small playtests with friends and family before putting the game out for the big Steam. However, if you are curious to participate early, and also get more regular updates - you are welcome to join the game discord ^_^ https://discord.gg/dqDa6HgY3F

I have made and, to the extent of my capabilities, tested the changes to the gameplay that I was talking about in the last post. Now, you get the points from blooming flowers every day, instead of reaching new maximum of beauty. I hope this makes the game simpler and more enjoyable. I also fixed a few bugs and added a couple small quality-of-life features. What is in the demo: · 20 lev…Community27 May 2026Demo is down, but playtest availableHey everyone! An update with respect to the latest Steam page changes. About two weeks ago, I released my first Steam Demo. I was quite happy and hopeful about it, because the recent playtest data was very promising, as well as the survey feedback. However, the demo results so far showed me some crucial flaws in the game design which I plan to rectify. Therefore, the current demo doesn't repres…
