Today we’re releasing the beta version of the Lobbies update.
This update introduces game lobbies along with a lobby browser in the main menu, allowing you to join any session that’s set to public.
Instead of inviting players directly to your hideout, you’ll now start in a lobby. From there, you can invite friends or make your lobby public and wait for others to join. Once everyone’s ready, you’ll all enter the hideout together.
This new flow fixes the black screen issue that could occur with large inventories and high ping, and it also makes it much easier to find people to play with.
Please note that the beta uses separate beta save files. If we don’t receive any major bug reports or complaints over the next week or so, we’ll move forward with a full public release.
