Consider this a soft launch for the update to make sure that a) nothing is horribly broken (I'm pretty sure it's not) and b) the changes I've made are not utterly terrible (you'll be the judges of that).
How to access the Beta version:
- Right-click GunSuit Guardians in your Steam library and select Properties.
- Select Game Versions & Betas.
- Select the version labelled public_beta.

⚠ A word of caution ⚠
If you play the beta version, please do not switch back to the main release. It could result in unexpected problems, like some of your save data not being read correctly. Please remain on the beta version until it is properly published.
What's new in this release?
It's a big one!
- 'LockZone' mode: a new game mode with a faster pace. Combat is confined to a small arena. Upgrade selections only occur once you have completed each wave.
- Boss overhaul: 2 new bosses and significant changes to the way bosses work in general, making them more exciting to fight, helping to avoid stalemates for mid-level players and rewarding powerful players.
- Hero Rank system: a new long-term reward system for players who have unlocked everything and want bragging rights on the leaderboards.
- New Weapons, Suit Buffs, Artifacts and Achievements.
- Many, many more bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, balance changes and other tweaks.
