What's up Project Rebearthers!

It still feels like yesterday but the world of Project Rebearth has been alive and spinning for a month now! I am happy to see that all of our hard work is paying off. My hard work as in, the server runs a lot more smoothly now, even with almost 500.000 objects to keep track of. And your hard work as in 500.000 objects filling this empty world with YOUR creativity, ambitions and lore!

Here are some of the changes that you might have missed these past few weeks:

  • Added finer rotation controls to be more precise in your building process

  • Implemented player guidelines to better communicate what behavior is tolerated and what isn't

  • Separating the settings into tabs for clarity, and to allow for further expansion of tweaks and knobs

  • Made upkeep cost of towers incremental, so there is less risk of advanced players spamming towers. this should make expansion more linear when a town grows, rather than exponential

  • Reduced upkeep of more expensive houses to make them more competitive

  • Showing town names, instead of player names, on the market to increase immersion

  • Added a button to fly to the town you are trading with

  • Added a new panel where you can manage the production of all your buildings at once

  • And many more!

Thank you all for being so welcoming to new players and making sure everyone is having a good time. Its truly a pleasure seeing this world come to life. And its heart warming to see the community come together and slowly fix the tool crisis! I can't wait for the first people build universities, start expeditions and uncover the lore of our empty planet... See you around!

Sam

August has flown past, however there still are some new updates! I have spent most of the spare time that I had coordinating with a creative writer to help me fill the remaining empty artifacts in Project Rebearth. These can be found by going on expeditions and s…Community10 Aug 2026Six Months of Project RebearthHi All! Apologies for the short delay. I am traveling through Australia for two months and although I am taking my work with me, I might be a bit slower to respond or implement new feature and fixes. But I definitely didn't stand still! · Town icon rendering should be more performant and also more aesthetically pleasing, with smarter logic on which icons to show at what zoom level. · Market nam…Community4 Jul 2026Five Months of Project RebearthGood day folks! The summer months have definitely kicked in if you live in the northern hemisphere! I hope you are all able to enjoy some outdoors time. And a game like Project Rebearth is the perfect summer game as you can still lock in and grow your town while also enjoying the warm outdoors when the temperatures allow it. Updates have been a bit slower due to me combining the development wit…
