Pack 9 – The Oddities

The weirdest, most wonderful amphibians have arrived! Pack 9 introduces 58 bizarre and fascinating species that break every rule you thought you knew about frogs.

What's New

58 New Species across some of the most unusual amphibians on Earth:

  • 25 Caecilians – Legless, snake-like amphibians that slither through the water. These mysterious creatures are among the least-known vertebrates on the planet.
  • Clawed Frogs – 17 species of the bizarre tongueless, clawed-foot family including the famous African Clawed Frog (Xenopus laevis).
  • Living Oddities – The Hairy Frog that breaks its own bones to create claws, the Purple Frog that lives underground, the Turtle Frog, the adorable Desert Rain Frog, and more.
  • Prehistoric Survivors – Triadobatrachus (the very first frog) and Prosalirus from the Jurassic period.
  • World Record Holder – Paedophryne amauensis, the world's smallest vertebrate.
  • Baby Forms – Every species now comes with an adorable juvenile form.
